A plea on behalf of small businesses at this time of such uncertainty...

For the past week Corona Virus is all that anyone in business and who is self employed has been talking about.

It goes without saying that the health of the nation, our friends and family is of upmost importance. We all know that we need to look after each other.

But it's worrying right now if you own your own business or are self employed.

The focus when it comes to business is always on the high street, the Bars, the restaurants, the taxi drivers and so on and all of those types of businesses say they've noticed everything is quieter.

Even for those that are busy right now there's a worry that with a Government announcement it could change everything for a business for 2 weeks, 1 month, longer.

For those that have only just started working for themselves or have just started there business it could be the difference between the business collapsing or not.

If you're a true friend / customer of somebody self employed or runs a small business....
- See if you can recommend them to your boss at work
- Look out for work opportunities for them
- Share their businesses social media posts
- Ask them if they're ok - like really ok
- Shop local as much as you can
- Support then as much as you can

Everybody talks about the importance of mental health and throws it around like a buzzword without actually doing anything.

Trust Me - if you know a self employed person or small business their stress levels and mental health will be suffering right now

The prospect of massively reduced income, not paying the mortgage, worrying how they're going to feed the kids - that is real stress

Look out for your friends, family and all those small businesses that you care about ❤️ ❤️ ❤️
