May is skin cancer awareness month….Early detection saves lives.

Here is a little reminder for you to do your monthly skin check. Know your skin, know your moles, check for any changes, any new spots.

If you are worried or notice any changes then please do get it checked out without hesitation.

Here I offer Mole and Lesion Screening….its such an easy process.
I have been working in partnership with to offer private mole screening. With large waiting lists and ever increasing pressures on the NHS, I am so happy to be able to offer this great service to put your mind at rest.

How it works:-
- You are seen in clinic and a medical history is taken.
- Your mole/lesion is assessed and images are taking using a dermatoscope.
- These images are sent and reviewed by leading consultant dermatologists.
- A full report is sent within 48 hours, usually faster, and if further investigations are needed an appropriate referral pathway can be made.
- The report will suggest if the lesion is appropriate for removal. This can be discussed with myself in clinic.

✨Monday Motivation ✨

I am so so happy to give this lovely lady her new found confidence in her skin!!
Here is one of my new clients that I have actually only seen 3 times for treatments in the studio.
The before and after photos have been kindly taken by her and just look at the difference this was a couple weeks after her first treatment!

She started using the home skincare range I had suggested and remained consistent along with lifestyle/diet advice, tips and tricks to help breakouts if they did occur but also supplement advice to help heal from the inside out.

Getting to know her, chatting about her lifestyle etc from her consultation discussing everything in between (with lots of laughs along the way) has helped us to figure triggers for her breakouts and an easy to follow plan both for products and treatments, and she is so happy with the results so far.

Protecting your skin during a skiing holiday is so so important. Time on the slopes means your skin is exposed to the harshest winter elements.

Think about your skin as a baby and it needs protecting!
Face coverings, gloves and scarves are great but think heavier emollient moisturisers that can act as a physical barrier between your skin and the cold environment.
SPF is a must. UV rays are stronger at the high altitudes so applying SPF before you hit the slopes and reapplying with protect your skin. Don’t forget areas like the ears.
Non irritating lip balms are essential for your lips 👄, but also applying something like aquaphor around your nose will protect your skin in those sensitive areas.
