The Clayton Leather Group was created following the acquisition of J& E Sedgwick & Co Ltd and the William Clarke Currying Company by Claytons of Chesterfield in 2015. This saw the creation of the largest vegetable tanning group in the UK. The group now consists of Clayton & Sons, J&E Sedgwick, William Clarke, and Samuel Sharpe.
