One of the biggest misconceptions in permanent makeup is that lip blush can simply be applied over every lip colour.

Tomorrow morning, my husband and I will be speaking live on BBC Derby …
to share a story that is incredibly personal to our family.

Nine years ago, we lost my husband’s sister to breast cancer. Following her diagnosis, we discovered that BRCA runs in the family, and my husband also carries the gene. It means that one day our own children may have decisions to make about their genetic risk too.

We’ll be talking about why it’s so important to have conversations about family history and genetics. They aren’t always easy conversations, but they could make a life-changing difference.

I’ll also be sharing how my work as a restorative ar**la tattoo artist supports people after breast cancer treatment, helping them regain confidence at the end of their reconstruction journey.

If we get the chance, I’ll also be mentioning the TATA Wellness Collective—a fundraising wellbeing event I’m hosting in October to support The TATA Foundation, helping more people access restorative ar**la tattooing.
