Influenster and sent it me for free so I could provide an honest review for you guys, and honestly I’ve been blown away.Most of you know that I absolutely rave about my Dior Forever skin foundation, but this has honestly been a game changer for me. I can’t stop telling people about it! I’ve even tried it without powder and it stands the test of time!

Today marks 6 months since the sudden death of my Mum.

6 months ago my Mum died suddenly of a rare infection called Necrotising Fasciitis. She was happy and was well in herself in the days leading up to her death.

Two days before she died she messaged me saying she was feeling a little unwell, but nothing severe. She thought she may have had a kidney infection brewing (something that is a regular occurrence in the women in our family). Mum said that she had tried to get an appointment with the doctors, but that they had told her that they had no appointments and couldn't help.

The following day Mum called 111 who said that they would try and arrange an appointment with our local GP. Mum was told that only a telephone consultation could be given, which she accepted. She was told to take a urine sample down to the GP, and that a prescription for antibiotics would be sent to the pharmacy. In the afternoon Mum fell asleep on the settee.

In the evening, I arrived to collect my children as they had been there for the day, and I tried to wake Mum. Mum woke and had trouble staying awake. Dad explained that she was on some antibiotics and that apart from the urine sample she hadn't been to the toilet all day. I told Mum to try and get up and explained that with her being diabetic, I thought she should go to the hospital. Mum tried to get up, but she said she was struggling to move her legs. An ambulance was called for Mum, and she was taken to hospital at around 11 pm. At this point, Mum was in a lot of pain. The paramedics explained to Dad that Mum would be taken to a ward where she would sleep and that he should get some rest before visiting the following morning.

At 9 am the next morning Dad called the hospital and was told that Mum was still in A&E waiting to be assessed. At 11 am, 12 hours after being taken to hospital, Mum was finally assessed by a doctor. Dad was called and was told Mum had a rash, and that he needed to come in and confirm that the rash was new. Shortly after 12pm, I was called and told I should come to the hospital and say goodbye to Mum.

Mum had a very rare infection called Necrotising Fasciitis, caused by Group A Streptococcus. We were told that they watched this infection take over Mum's body in the space of an hour.

Necrotising Fasciitis is a flesh-eating disease. This infection ate away at Mum's skin, tissues and organs and killed her in a very short amount of time.

Just 500 people are diagnosed with this in the UK every year, with 25% of diagnoses resulting in death.

Mum was Rozmin. She had just turned 63. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. Family was the most important thing to her. She always helped anyone she could and brightened people's days with her infectious laugh and smile. She was loved by so many, and she is so very deeply missed.

I want to raise money in Mum's memory for some charities.
To do this I will be undertaking many fundraising events, the first being a 5K run.
