This gorgeous client already had a lovely natural brow shape, she just wanted a little more colour, definition and oomph to make them stand out and frame her eyes a bit more.

So we went for a soft powder brow, keeping the shape she already had but giving those fair blonde brows a little boost ✨

Nothing dramatic, nothing that changes her face - just her brows but with the volume turned up a notch. And honestly… sometimes that’s all you need!

Imagine waking up, looking in the mirror and thinking… yep, I look alright! 😂
That’s exactly what we’re going for with permanent makeup.

We gave her a lovely fresh brow shape and some eyeliner to really open up and define her eyes so there’s already a bit of definition there before she’s even reached for the makeup bag.

And before anyone panics about the brows looking a little stronger here… they’re fresh! They’ll soften and lighten as they heal so the finished result will be much more subtle.

Because sometimes you want to put your face on…
and sometimes you just can’t be arsed!😂

𝐋𝐨𝐨𝐤 𝐜𝐥𝐨𝐬𝐞𝐥𝐲 👀
these are nano hair strokes, created with a machine to mimic the look of individual brow hairs.

So why nano instead of microblading?

Microblading creates hairstrokes by making tiny cuts in the skin with a blade. Nano brows use a super fine machine needle to implant the pigment, giving me much more control over the stroke, direction and depth.

That means I can create finer, softer and more realistic looking hair strokes, especially when I’m working with delicate or mature skin.

And when you zoom in like this… you can really see how those little strokes follow the natural direction of the brow. 🤌🏼

The goal isn't to make you look like you've got makeup tattooed on, it's to make people wonder “are those actually her brows?” 😉

Mature skin doesn’t need a heavy brow, it needs the right shape, the right softness and a little bit of cleverness.

For this lovely client we created soft powder brows with beautifully ombré fronts, keeping the beginning of the brow lighter and more natural before building definition through the body and tail.

And that shape… 👌🏼
A subtle lift through the brow gives the eyes a more open, lifted appearance which can make the whole face look fresher and more youthful.

Proof that a good brow can make you look more awake without anyone knowing why 😉🤎

These brows weren’t originally done by me, over time the old PMU had faded into a shape and colour that no longer suited her.

So we started with one session of laser removal to lighten the old pigment before creating something fresh ✨

Once we had lightened the old work enough, we went in with a brand new soft powder brow, giving her a cleaner shape, softer colour and a result that will fade and age much more gracefully.

PMU pigments have come a long way. The newer pigments I use are designed to fade over time, rather than sitting heavily in the skin for years like some of the older tattoo style inks did.

So if your old brows have faded, changed colour or just aren't flattering you anymore…

When working on mature skin it’s not just about choosing the brow style you like, it’s about choosing what will actually suit the skin.

With creases and wrinkles as we age, hair strokes wouldn’t have been the best choice. As the skin moves and folds, those little strokes can end up looking distorted, bent or uneven.

So instead, we went for a soft powder brow giving shape, definition and a lovely filled in look without trying to force individual hair strokes into skin that simply isn’t suited to them.

And don’t worry if they look a little stronger while they’re fresh 👀
As they heal, the colour will soften and settle into tiny pixels, creating that soft, powdered makeup effect - hence the name powder brows! 🩵

It’s all about working with the skin, not against it.

This is why I love showing the whole process rather than just the shiny “after” photo. You get to see exactly how combination brows settle and soften as they heal.

The fresh brows are always darker, the healed result is softer and then at the top up we can perfect those little details and bring everything together 🤎
