Every client's skin is different, and the best results often come from a tailored approach rather than trying to achieve perfection in a single appointment. In some cases, improving the condition of the skin around the nails takes several treatments, as pushing too hard or removing too much can cause irritation and damage.

Some of my clients struggle with picking their skin and nails — and it’s more common than you might think.

Here’s an example of my approach, inspired by techniques I’ve learned through recent education with .nailartist. I’m continuing to develop my skills in assessing each client’s individual skin type and condition, so I can tailor treatments that truly support healing and long-term nail health.

For this client, we focused on calming and restoring the skin around the nails. The result? Healthier, soothed skin that’s already on its way to recovery ✨

I applied a structured gel overlay in the shade Bare .pro.official to support and protect the natural nails, along with detailed aftercare guidance to help reduce picking habits between appointments.

Keeping rebalance appointments closer together can make a big difference in managing the urge to pick and maintaining progress.
