Sunday 7am I must be mad 😅
I can quite honestly say I feel fitter and stronger at 50 than ever before and I am not finished yet.
Keep pushing to be a better, fitter, stronger, faster as it’s what keeps us young 💪🏼💚💪🏼
This morning in club I found myself giving someone advice about procrastination…
You know the kind:
“After Thursday I’ll start.”
“Once this week is over I’ll feel better.”
“When this month is done, things will be easier.”
And then it hit me… I’ve been doing exactly that.
For the whole of January.
I say every year how much I hate January.
And the truth is, for me it is hard — it’s full of anniversaries, birthdays that should be celebrated, and memories of people I’ve lost. It’s heavy. And it always hits.
But this year I realised something uncomfortable:
I spent the entire month telling myself it was going to be awful.
Every day. On repeat.
And guess what? It was.
Now it’s February, I feel lighter, more focused, more like myself again. And instead of just being glad January is “over”, I’ve been reflecting on what I’ll do differently next time.
Next January, I’m choosing something new:
✨ More self-care
✨ More kindness to myself
✨ Less waiting for “after”
✨ And more telling myself: Today is going to be a good day.
Even if part of me doesn’t believe it yet.
Because our thoughts shape our experience more than we realise.
So if you’re in a season that feels heavy, this is your reminder:
You don’t have to wait for the next month, the next Monday, or the next “perfect time”.
You’re allowed to decide today can still be a good day. 💛

Leggings permanently glued on
Hair in a mum-bun that’s held together by hope
Phone in my face answering messages
Dog hair on everything 🐾
And a step counter judging me 24/7 😆
Somewhere in the background:
🏃♀️ Training for races I swear I’m “not a runner” for
🥗 Trying to eat like a grown-up
😴 Running on caffeine, good vibes and Herbalife
🧘♀️ Stretching my pelvic floor like my dignity depends on it
📊 Planning 21 day challenges like a boss
💚 Helping people feel better, one habit at a time
And the speech bubble?
“Come on… you’ve GOT this. Just one more day.”
Because behind the chaos, the shakes, the steps and the selfies…
there’s a woman who refused to quit on herself 💪
From climbing Snowdon ⛰️
To signing up for a half marathon 🏅
To showing up for her club and her people even on the hard days…
This is me.
Not perfect.
But consistent.
And that’s where the magic is ✨
