Hairdressing is “just doing hair”… right?

Wrong.

It takes years of training, practice, creativity, technical knowledge and constant education to become great at this job.

We’re expected to understand colour chemistry, cutting, styling, face shapes, hair types, trends, products, business, customer service — and somehow keep a full conversation going at the same time.

And no, we don’t “just chat.”

We listen. We advise. We build confidence. We celebrate big moments, hear difficult stories and often become one of the few people our clients see regularly.

Hairdressing is a skilled profession.

It’s creative.
It’s technical.
It’s exhausting.
It’s rewarding.

And it deserves far more respect than “it’s just hair.”
