We had planned a beautiful, symbolic moment to mark the end of our final retreat of 2026…except everyone had left before we got around to filming it 😂

So we sat down afterwards with two candles to try to recreate our idea but it was ridiculous and didn’t exactly turn out how we had imagined, but actually, I think I love it! 😊

Thank you to every single person who joined me and .yoga.beherenow at Be Still Retreat this year. What a year it’s been 🌝

Watching the detail and heart being poured into the cabin builds here at Be Still Retreat is mesmerising. My Dad’s vision and ability are truly extraordinary 🏡

He turns 70 this year and just never stops. His energy, creativity and determination never cease to amaze me 🤎

For anyone who has already seen the cabins for themselves, you’ll already know just how unique they are. The way the buildings curve in so many different directions is almost an illusion, and the scalloped lead edging on the roof is just a taste of how distinctive and special these builds are going to be 🌿

With the timber arriving this week for the exterior, the cabins will soon be fully enclosed and protected from the elements, another exciting milestone in bringing them to life 🏡🏡

Last week Rusty had his first ever little swim in the lake! 🐶💦🌿

He wasn’t too sure what to make of it at first…but after some encouragement, his little paws started making a paddling motion. So, with a little more gentle practice, I think we’ll be swimming together in no time! 😊

As we are on the cusp of facing a couple of super hot days, I thought a throwback to a very snowy lake might help cool people off! ❄️

This video was taken on 5th January and seeing this scene absolutely took my breath away! I knew the lake had frozen over, but had never imagined it would look this magical as I walked over the top of the hill 🤩

Since sharing our space with you in May 2024 and spending so much time here, I have really enjoyed witnessing the seasons come and go. The land goes into hibernation before the warmth of spring hits, and then things begin to change and colour pops nearly every day. It’s a wonder to watch 🌞🌳🍁🍃🍄🌛

I have loved every minute of this summer and long may it continue. And when it comes, I cannot wait for those ice cold dips again. They are so good for my soul 🤍

Sunset to Starlight – Floating Sound Journey 🌅🌌

📅 Friday 11th September | 7–9pm

This time, the experience is even longer. 2 blissful hours to fully unwind, float and soak up the magic 🌳

Friday night’s Golden Hour Floating Sound Journey was one to remember ✨

Our first gathering ended with the gentlest summer raindrops falling onto peaceful faces as everyone floated on the lake. Then, between sessions, the most almighty unexpected thunderstorm arrived. We honestly wondered if we’d be able to continue…⛈️

But our second group still showed up. They chose to slow down, to trust the moment, and somehow the clouds parted just in time for the most breathtaking golden hour 🌅

One of my favourite moments was watching Chessy play her crystal bowls while her own husband floated peacefully across the lake. It was so special to witness them sharing that experience together🌷

Mia and Chessy are such incredibly talented, caring women, and I feel so incredibly lucky to host them here and create these magical evenings together 🎼

Looking at the 22 pairs of shoes lined up on the bank reminded me that every pair belonged to someone who chose to make time for themselves. In a world that never seems to slow down, I think that’s something really worth celebrating 🤍

We’ve been dreaming up something new, thanks to a brilliant suggestion from one of our regular Floating Sound Journey attendees 🌞
