I stretch every day… so why am I still tight?”

If that sounds familiar, you’re not alone.

Stretching is great, but if your muscles are constantly tight because of stress, poor posture, repetitive movement or old injuries, stretching alone often won’t solve the root cause.

Deep tissue massage can help:
✨ Release built-up muscle tension
✨ Improve flexibility and range of movement
✨ Increase blood flow to tired muscles
✨ Reduce aches and stiffness
✨ Help your body move the way it’s designed to

Think of it this way…

Stretching maintains your muscles.
Massage helps reset them.

If you’re constantly feeling tight, sore or restricted, your body might be asking for more than just a stretch.

Your glutes and hamstrings do more than you think 🍑🦵

In this Reel, we’re focusing on two of the most important muscle groups in the body:

🍑 Glute muscles
Your glutes are made up of the gluteus maximus, gluteus medius and gluteus minimus. They help with hip movement, stability, posture and powerful movements like walking, running, jumping and lifting.

When your glutes become tight or overworked, it can affect how your body moves and may contribute to tension through the hips and lower back.

🦵 Hamstrings
Your hamstrings are the muscles at the back of your thighs. They help with bending your knee, extending your hip and supporting movements like running, squatting and everyday activities.

Tight hamstrings can limit mobility and leave your legs feeling stiff or restricted.

Sports massage can help release muscular tension, improve mobility and support recovery helping your body move the way it’s designed to. 💆‍♂️✨

Your muscles work hard for you every day… make sure you look after them 🤍

✨ Tight upper back? You’re definitely not alone… ✨

One of the most common areas I treat is the upper back. Whether it’s from sitting at a desk, working from home, training in the gym, driving or simply the stresses of everyday life, this area holds so much tension.

The upper back is made up of muscles including:

💪 Trapezius (traps) – Supports your neck, shoulders and posture. This is often where people carry stress.

💪 Rhomboids – Sit between your shoulder blades and help pull your shoulders back, keeping your posture strong.

💪 Levator scapulae – Connects your neck to your shoulder blade and is a common cause of neck stiffness and discomfort.

💪 Rear deltoids – Help with shoulder movement and can become tight from lifting, repetitive movements or poor posture.

✨ Regular sports massage can help:
✔️ Ease tight, aching muscles
✔️ Improve posture and movement
✔️ Increase blood flow to aid recovery
✔️ Reduce tension headaches
✔️ Improve flexibility
✔️ Leave you feeling lighter, looser and more relaxed

Your body gives you signs when it needs looking after don’t ignore them. A little maintenance now can prevent bigger problems later. 💆🏼‍♀️

🦵 Your calves do more than you think!

Your calf is made up of two main muscles:

✨ Gastrocnemius – the larger, visible muscle that helps you push off when walking, running and jumping.
✨ Soleus – sits underneath and works hard to keep you stable, support your posture and power you through everyday movement.

If your calves are tight or overworked, you might notice:
❌ Achilles pain
❌ Foot or ankle discomfort
❌ Reduced ankle mobility
❌ Cramping
❌ Strain on your knees and lower back

💆‍♂️ Sports massage can help to:
✅ Reduce muscle tension
✅ Improve flexibility and ankle mobility
✅ Increase circulation
✅ Speed up recovery after exercise
✅ Ease aches and pains
✅ Help prevent future injuries

Whether you’re a runner, gym-goer, footballer, or on your feet all day, healthy calves make a huge difference to how you move and feel.

📩 Drop me a message if your calves are constantly tight—you don’t have to put up with it!

Your lower back isn’t just one muscle… it’s made up of several muscles working together to keep you moving every day.

The main muscles include:
✔️ Erector Spinae – Helps keep you upright and supports bending and twisting.
✔️ Multifidus – Small but incredibly important muscles that stabilise your spine and help prevent injury.
✔️ Quadratus Lumborum (QL) – Located on either side of your lower back, this muscle helps you bend sideways and stabilise your pelvis when you walk.
✔️ Latissimus Dorsi – Although best known as a back muscle, it connects into your lower back and plays a key role in lifting, pulling and supporting movement.

When these muscles become tight, overworked or weak, they can contribute to:
⚡ Lower back pain
⚡ Stiffness
⚡ Reduced mobility
⚡ Poor posture
⚡ Referred pain into the hips or glutes

✨ Benefits of Sports Massage:

✅ Relieves muscle tension
✅ Reduces pain and stiffness
✅ Improves blood circulation
✅ Increases flexibility and mobility
✅ Speeds up recovery from exercise and daily activities
✅ Helps improve posture
✅ Reduces the risk of injury
✅ Promotes relaxation and overall wellbeing
