GREY BLENDING
When clients begin transitioning to grey or white hair, the instinct is often to go lighter or add more blonde. However, this can sometimes create unwanted warmth and contrast against a naturally darker base colour as the hair grows out.
In this transformation, I took a different approach.
Rather than adding blonde, I used four cool-toned shades from the Wella Illumina range, working from a level 5 through to a level 8 to create a soft, seamless blend.
The result is a refined, dimensional colour that complements the natural grey beautifully while allowing for a softer, lower-maintenance grow-out.
Grey blending is not about covering your natural colour — it’s about enhancing it in the most flattering and wearable way.
