A personal note about allergic reactions

I recently experienced a severe allergic reaction myself. I developed a widespread, intensely itchy rash and swelling, along with chest tightness and throat symptoms. It was frightening, and I needed urgent hospital assessment and treatment. The cause hasn’t been confirmed, so I won’t speculate.

Going through this first-hand reminded me how important it is to take symptoms seriously and act quickly. As an NMC-registered midwife and independent prescriber, I take client safety and emergency preparedness seriously. At Sakura, I carefully assess clients before treatment and know that a suspected anaphylactic reaction needs urgent action, including calling 999 and supporting the person until help arrives administering medication as prescribed and needed.

I also carry my own prescribed adrenaline auto-injector while working. Sharing this to raise awareness: severe allergic reactions need prompt medical attention.

The M-Shape Lip — precision makes the difference

M-shaped lips can be more challenging to enhance with filler, as the natural shape of the upper lip can make achieving even volume and definition more complex.

For this beautiful result, I worked carefully with her natural anatomy, using precise placement of filler to gently add volume, improve symmetry and create more definition through the upper lip and Cupid’s bow.

The aim was never to change her lips completely — just to enhance what was already there and create a soft, balanced result that still looks like her.
