💜 A Little Note From Behind The Yorkie Waves Desk💜
I thought I'd share a little bit about the person behind Yorkie Waves!
Alongside creating handmade dread and wave sets, I work full-time as a Maintenance Scheduler, I'm a full-time mum to my beautiful nearly 8 year old daughter a GSD mum, (more high maintenance than my daughter lol) and a wife 🫶🏼 to the greatest man who has supported me so much - and puts up with ALOT of hair deliveries LoL - Life can be incredibly crazy at times , but no matter how hectic things get, I always make time to sit at my Yorkie Waves desk and create.
Making your sets is genuinely my happy place. I love blending colours, creating custom designs, and sharing my work with you all. Seeing your support, comments, likes, loves and orders means the absolute world to me. ✨
Because every set is handmade by me around family life and my full-time job, custom orders can sometimes have a slightly longer lead time. I always aim for around 2–3 weeks, depending on the complexity and details of what you'd like created.
I promise every set is made with patience, care, and plenty of love. Good things take a little time, and I want every order leaving my desk to be something truly special. 💜

Today was all about learning through doing! 🙌🏼

I had the opportunity to install two YorkieWaves sets, and there is honestly no substitute for hands-on experience. Every install teaches me something new — from sectioning and placement to understanding how the waves flow and sit naturally once fitted.

Seeing the transformation happen in real time and watching the sets come to life on actual clients is such an amazing feeling. It builds my confidence, improves my skills, and reminds me why I started this journey in the first place.

I’m still learning, still growing, and loving every minute of it. Huge thank you to my lovely clients for trusting me and allowing me to gain this invaluable experience. 💜

Today I’ll be installing these two gorgeous YorkieWaves creations on some very kind and willing volunteers. 🫶🏼
One is a dreamy blonde blend with pops of rainbow magic 🌈, and the other is a rich chocolate brown with deep forest green accents 🌲🤎. Seeing the sets I’ve made come to life during an install is such an exciting part of the process!

Every install teaches me something new and helps me build my confidence and skills. I’m so grateful to everyone who supports me, trusts me, and allows me to learn along the way. 💕

Another beautiful set has found its new home! 🫶

This handmade set features gorgeous deep brunette waves with lots of texture, movement, and natural-looking volume. I absolutely loved creating this one and seeing it head off to its new owner makes all the time and care that goes into each set so worthwhile.

Every set I make is handcrafted with love, and I’m so grateful for every person who supports my little YorkieWaves journey. 💖
