✨ LET ME INTRODUCE MYSELF... ✨

Firstly, I just wanted to say a huge THANK YOU to everyone who has liked, followed and supported my new page. It honestly means the world to me! Every like, share, comment and booking helps support my dream, and I'll never take that for granted. 🥹💚

For those of you who don't know me... I'm Marian! 👋🏼
I'm a proud mum to three amazing children, two sons and a daughter, and they are my absolute world. They're the reason I work as hard as I do, it's all to give them the best life possible! ❤️

I'm a local Coatbridge girl, born and bred, and very much a "what you see is what you get" kind of person! That's exactly how I am in the salon too. I'm always professional, but there's definitely no airs and graces. You'll usually find me chatting away, having a laugh and making sure everyone feels completely comfortable from the moment they walk through the door, in fact you'll probably hear me before you see me as I have a voice and laugh like a foghorn🙈😂
I've always loved meeting new people, and nothing makes me happier than seeing clients leave the salon feeling more confident and relaxed than when they arrived😊

My passion for beauty started when I was a little girl. I was forever raiding my mum's makeup bag💄💅 fascinated by all her lotions and potions🧴 and as I got older I was always the friend plucking everyone's eyebrows, I even started waxing them as a teenager with a wee Boots sugaring kit... looking back, I can't believe they trusted me! 😂

Life took me in a different direction when I became a young mum at just 15 years old. My priority was providing for my son, so I put my dream on hold and went straight into work after leaving school. Over the years I worked in customer service, from takeaway shops to banking, while still holding onto my passion for beauty!
Along the way, my second son arrived in 2012, followed by my little daughter in 2015, making my heart complete❤
Even with the busy working mum life, I still found time to complete courses in manicures, pedicures, nails and spray tanning and performed these treatments in my spare time because deep down I knew I'd find my way back to the beauty industry one day🥰

After sadly losing my beautiful wee mum to early onset dementia in 2021, I realised life is far too short not to chase your dreams and go after the things that truly set your soul on fire❤‍🔥
So I enrolled at New College Lanarkshire to study Beauty Therapy, completed my HNC before going on to achieve my HND, and honestly, from the very first day I felt like I'd finally found where I was meant to be!
One of the best things to come from college wasn't just the qualifications, but the friendships too. Many of the amazing people I met there are still a huge part of my life today, and I'm so grateful our paths crossed🫶
I was also incredibly fortunate to be taught by some of the most knowledgeable, passionate and inspiring women I've ever met, their enthusiasm for the beauty industry was infectious, and they didn't just teach us treatments, they taught us to understand the science behind them, to treat every client as an individual and to always keep learning! Even now, I still hear their advice and guidance in my ear while I'm working with my clients. I honestly believe they've played such a huge part in making me the therapist I am today💫

After college I went on to work in the Hilton Spa. It was a great experience, but I quickly realised it wasn't where my heart belonged. I wanted to use my full skill set. I wanted every treatment to be tailored to the individual sitting in front of me, not a one size fits all routine with the same products and techniques for everyone!
I wanted to educate my clients, explain what I was doing and why, and help them understand how to care for their skin and wellbeing long after they'd left the salon.

That's exactly why Simply Luxe was created.
Last September, myself and a friend took a huge leap of faith and opened Simply Luxe Beauty together, and the response honestly blew us away🤩
Recently our lives and future goals have taken us in different directions, and while that chapter has come to an end, my journey with Simply Luxe continues...
My vision has always been to fill the gaps I felt existed within our industry.
I don't just want people to come in for a treatment I want them to understand why they're having it. I want them to leave feeling educated, confident and empowered to continue looking after themselves at home!
I'm also incredibly passionate about clean beauty, using naturally derived ingredients wherever possible, sustainable products and treatments that genuinely deliver results. I believe beautiful skin and confidence shouldn't automatically mean reaching for needles or searching for quick fixes.. Sometimes its the right knowledge, consistency and professional care that make an incredible difference👌

Looking back now, every twist and turn has led me exactly to where I'm meant to be.
Simply Luxe isn't just my business it's my dream! It's a place where I want every single person who walks through the door to feel welcomed, listened to and cared for.

Whether you're coming in for a little self care, help with a skin concern, to ease tired muscles or simply for a wee hour to yourself, I want you to leave feeling like the very best version of you💖
