When I assess a face, I’m not looking at individual lines or wrinkles. I’m looking at the face as a whole and considering what has changed beneath the skin.
As we age, facial fat compartments change. We can lose volume through the temples, cheeks and midface, while other areas become more prominent. There are also changes to bone, retaining ligaments, skin quality and collagen, all of which contribute to the changes we see externally.
This is why my approach isn’t about simply “adding filler”.
I assess where support and volume have been lost and choose treatments based on what the face actually needs.
Biostimulators can be used to stimulate collagen and improve tissue quality and support, while carefully placed dermal filler can replace specific areas of volume loss and restore proportion.
The aim is not to change the face or make it look “filled”.
