Before and after on the lovely Hannah! Thanks for reminding me to take photos!
Hello all,
There seems to be a huge impact of headlice at the moment all different areas of Colchester all different schools adults and children so I just wanted to put some information as some people have never experienced them before.
⭐ They are not dirty they will only go on clean hair.
⭐ They can survive off the head for 1-2 days so please make sure you clean and disinfect anything that's come into contact with hair such as brushes combs pillowcases pillows blankets teddies etc.
⭐ They will breed extremely quickly so if not treated fast they will become an infestation in as little as two weeks and this can then become quite serious.
⭐ Hatchlings will start producing at 6 days old and will lay 6-10 eggs every day.
⭐ Nits (which are what the eggs are called) are tiny white oval shaped dots that are almost glued to the hair about an inch away from the scalp the difference between these and dandruff is the nits cannot be brushed/flicked off the hair you physically have to pull each one out.
⭐ Treatments can get rather expensive and no matter what they say they often do not kill the nits just the live headlice because they cannot be that strong due to health and safety.
My advice would be to use neat vodka on the hair (it's actually very conditioning to the hair so won't damage at all) put it on neat and on dry hair comb through and leave for a couple of hours. The acidity in the alcohol will kill both the headlice and the nits making them easier to detach. When you wash it off after shampooing use plenty of conditioner and whilst conditioner is on go through with the nit comb. I would repeat this process at least 2 days running possibly 3/4 if it's at the infestation stage. And make sure you treat everyone in your family even if you haven't seen headlice. And again make sure you wash everything the head has touched.
⭐Headlice will often stay behind the ears or in the nape of the neck sometimes even the crown.
⭐To see Headlice on the outside of the hair. (Without parting it) Will indicate an infestation.
Please note if anyone has Headlice or even unhatched eggs I am unable to do the hair.
Any questions please don't hesitate to ask. I hope I've covered as much as possible here. X
It's getting super hot this week 🥵 Those of you coming to me please bare that in mind as it does get very very hot!! I will have bottled water in the fridge for you and the air con unit on but I feel it's still going to be crazy hot in there.
Next year I will invest in proper air con!

My friend Carl lost his cake business page on Facebook due to some algorithm so he is having to start from scratch again because that was his sole business use. Please can everyone check out his website! And where you can support his small business. We all need to look out for each other in the small business world.

Always makes me so happy to receive messages like this that's job satisfaction right there ❤️
Good evening all.
I have had many people ask me if I've put my prices up this year. I haven't, I'm fully aware how much people are struggling at the moment so I don't want to add to that. Even though everyone is telling me to increase them. I will be doing it next year as the last time I put my prices up was in 2023 so that will be 4 years which I feel is fair given how much my costs have risen. But I would just like to thank you all for your loyalty to me I really do appreciate it. Look forward to another year of doing your hairs 💇
