Expensive looking hair isn’t about having the most blonde, the freshest toner or being back in the salon every 6 weeks. 🤍

For me, it’s about creating a colour that’s been properly planned around YOU.

Your natural base.
Your skin tone.
Your lifestyle.
How often you actually want to come back to the salon.

I’d keep softness at the root so there’s no harsh grow out, place brightness where it makes the biggest difference, and keep enough depth through the hair to make the lighter pieces really stand out.

Because sometimes adding MORE blonde doesn’t make your hair look more expensive it can actually do the opposite.

The goal is dimension, shine, softness and a colour that still looks intentional months after your appointment.

Beautiful hair shouldn’t only look good the week you leave the salon.

I want it to grow out so well that you’re not counting down the weeks until you need it done again. 🤍

Why do I always recommend a hair oil? 👀

Hair oil is one of those products I recommend to so many of my clients, whether your hair is fine, coloured, dry or prone to frizz.

But what is it actually doing?

Adds softness and shine
Helps smooth the hair and reduce frizz
Reduces friction through the lengths and ends
Makes dry, processed ends feel more manageable
Helps protect fragile lengths from everyday wear and tear

And no, using the right oil doesn’t automatically make your hair greasy even if your hair is fine.

The secret is HOW you use it.

Start with a tiny amount, warm it between your hands and apply through your mid lengths and ends, not your roots.

You can use it on damp hair before styling or a small amount on dry hair to smooth and finish.

It’s one of those little everyday steps that can make a big difference to how your hair looks and feels between appointments.

Healthy hair isn’t just about what happens in the salon. Aftercare matters too. 🤍

Now let me show you what we actually did.

Because when hair has already been over bleached, the answer isn’t always MORE blonde.

We started with a full head of really soft, scattered babylights just enough to keep some brightness and dimension without putting unnecessary bleach through hair that already needed a little bit of love.

Everything left outside the foils was toned down closer to her natural base. This helped neutralise those unwanted orange tones, bring some depth back into the colour and give us a much softer, cleaner starting point.

And the result? ✨

Soft. Natural. Dimensional.

But most importantly, we’ve started moving her hair in the right direction WITHOUT trying to achieve everything in one appointment.

Some of that warmth may start to show through again as the colour fades and that’s completely normal when we’re working with previous colour.

So when she comes back, we’ll look at how her hair feels, how the colour has worn and decide what it needs NEXT.

That might mean toning things down again, adding a few carefully placed highlights or gradually introducing more blonde as the condition of her hair allows.

Healthy, expensive looking blonde doesn’t always happen in one huge transformation.

Sometimes it’s about having a plan, being patient and making every appointment move you a little closer to where you actually want to be. 🤍

My lovely client came to me after her hair had been over bleached, leaving it compromised and with a lot of length already lost.

So before we even thought about colour, we talked.

We talked about what had happened, where she wanted her hair to be long term and, most importantly, what her hair could realistically handle right now.

Because the answer wasn’t more bleach and another quick transformation.

Instead, we brought her closer to her natural base, kept some lighter pieces running through for softness and dimension, and toned down those unwanted yellow and orange tones.

This one is going to be a journey and that’s absolutely okay. 🤍

Healthy, beautiful blonde isn’t always created in one appointment.

Sometimes the best thing you can do for your hair is stop chasing the end result, make a proper plan and start rebuilding from there.
