What actually is a skin booster and why do I talk about them so much?
When we think about anti-ageing, we often think about wrinkles, volume loss or facial shape.
But ageing also happens within the skin itself.
As we get older, our skin naturally becomes less hydrated, less elastic and less able to maintain that healthy, plump appearance we associate with youthful skin.
… this is where skin boosters come in.
A skin booster is an injectable treatment designed to improve the quality and condition of the skin, rather than change the shape of your face.
Many skin boosters use hyaluronic acid — a substance naturally found within our skin that has the ability to attract and retain water.
By placing it within the skin, we can help improve hydration, smoothness, elasticity and overall skin quality.

We first added lip filler in February this year and we’ve just done our second session.
As we age, collagen, hydration and volume naturally change the under-eye area and it is often one of the first places we notice it.
What looks like ‘dark circles’ or ‘under-eye bags’ can actually be caused by very different things. loss of structural support, collagen depletion, changes in skin quality or bulging of the lower-lid fat.

Lower face toxin - SO EFFECTIVE!
This can be a stand alone treatment of neck bands including jawline and the muscles that pulls the sides of the mouth down - known as the DAO muscle. You can also add in chin dimpling however we didn’t do that here.
It can also be added as a 4th area of treatment when treating the upper face with toxin.
Allergan BOTOX® is licensed for use in the Platysma bands, unlike many other toxins available 👌🏼
If I was looking for an injector, these are three things I’d want to know before booking…

It’s been a journey but a journey I’m so proud of.
Working in an industry that is so misunderstood and unregulated is nothing short of a challenge, but with the new changes that are happening, I’m hopeful we’re moving towards a future where higher standards, greater accountability and patient safety become the foundation of aesthetic practice.

Why I choose HArmonyCa over Sculptra.
Patients that are suitable for Sculptra are getting less and the nodules that can be left under the skin that are non reversible are a significant issue.
As always, choosing the right practitioner with extensive clinical expertise is vital, a treatment that absolutely should not be taken lightly 💉
