We hear it time and time again and we want to make this not a “thing” every salon should at least know how to use products and a diffuser properly

This so so obvious with a fringe isn’t it? But why do we then take a curly client wash their hair pull it all down with a comb and create tension?

Imagine if I would have cut their hair wet 😭

The tiniest trim makes all the difference to the shape of curly hair ✨

Diffusing can feel slow at first… ✨

Especially in an industry where we’re so used to constantly rushing, moving and multitasking.

But one of the things we always say in our education is:
check the time when you start.

Because most of the time, it’s not actually taking as long as it feels.

We’re just not used to slowing down.

And honestly… there’s something really lovely about that part of the process.

Sitting down for a min (rest those feet!)
Enjoying a hot coffee (the RARITY)
Letting the curls do their thing.
Actually being present with your client instead of rushing to the next thing.

Because curly hair appointments shouldn’t feel chaotic.

They should feel intentional.
Calm.
Considered.

And why shouldn’t we as stylists find a bit of calm during our day 🫶🏼

First thing clients say to us most of the time

“I get so much frizz when I am diffusing”

And we need to figure it why?

Start with the speed and heat of the curls are moving around too much the hair dryer is too fast.
If you are putting the bowl of the diffuser in and out too much that can also cause the frizz.

✨Here is the trick

✨Apply the products
Create the curl clips
Plop

✨Set the heat and speed low and slow.
