✨ My “day off” that isn’t actually a day off…

People often ask what I do on Wednesdays because the salon is closed…

The reality? I’m still working. Just in a different way.

📝 Answering messages, emails and booking enquiries.

📦 Ordering stock before I realise I’m nearly out of something important.

🔨 DIY projects… because apparently I’ve become quite the dab hand with a drill these days. If something needs building, painting, fixing or putting on a wall, I’ll probably have a go myself. New shelves up today!

📱 Creating social media content, replying to comments and trying to keep up with the ever-changing world of social media.

📊 Accounts, invoices, spreadsheets and all the glamorous admin that nobody sees.

Then somewhere in between all of that, I try to squeeze in a coffee and remember to eat. And to add to the to-do list, it’s my daughters leavers assembly this afternoon - I’ll cry, that’s a given 🥹

Being self-employed means you don’t just wear one hat. You’re the therapist, receptionist, cleaner, photographer, marketer, accountant, maintenance team and business owner… all rolled into one.

I genuinely wouldn’t have it any other way though. Watching Refyne slowly become everything I imagined makes every “non-working working Wednesday” completely worth it 🤎
