Unfortunately after seeing the consultant yesterday it's not the positive outcome we wanted.
My knee is healing well but my shin is another story. The bone isn't healing or attaching to the rest of the shin due to a lack of oxygen, meaning I've been put back on partial weight baring and 2 crutches.

There is a special machine that helps heal bone that I would use at home, unfortunately this isn't widely available on the NHS due to the cost, my surgeon is going to apply for it and we hope for the best. Failing that it is more surgery.

I know this isn't the update you all wanted, but unfortunately at the moment my leg comes first.
Once I am able to return to the salon I shall pop a message on here...

P.s gutted I will be missing HALLOWEEN 🎃 nails this year!

Update...Operation went well but recovery is harder than I expected.

I've had physio this week and have been truly told off 🙃
I'm on strict tiptoe/non weight baring, pain meds increased, leg up all day to reduce swelling and no driving..
I've been told not to expect to be back at work for awhile yet.

I have had major knee surgery which involves removing shin bone, reattaching bone with a plate and screws, a new ligament using part of my hamstring.. so I have to be super careful while the bone and ligament heal.

I'm sorry to those that this impacts but hopefully the end goal will be worth it 🫶

So....update...Operation went well... but I'm still in hospital unfortunately, let's see what tomorrow brings and hopefully I'll have a better idea of time off needed 😌
