We specialise in handmade natural soaps made with beer and operate from our soaperie in rural Cheshire. Why use beer?

All our soaps are made from scratch by hand using natural process and high quality vegetable oils. No Nasties: Our soaps do not contain any animal fats, any SLS or other foaming agents or parabens. Good beer is made from natural ingredients and is full of goodness and nutrients that are beneficial for you. We use a natural process to make our soap and we believe that the beer goodness is fully transferred onto it. We are a proud member of CAMRA (campaign for real ale)

We are currently working on new recipes that will not use palm oil. A lot showering and hand washing going on here while we try out the samples :) In the meantime, we want to say that we have always used sustainable palm oil in our recipes.

Microbead ban: What impact will it have?

Microbead ban in the UK
We have never used microbeads in any of our products, and fully support the ban. There is a range of natural alternatives to use in cosmetics particularly for exfoliation. Beads made from the oil that comes from the jojoba plant are fully biodegradable. Other natural products such as salt, coffee and whole oats, and more exotic ones such as rosehip seeds are all suitable and don't damage the marine environment in the same way as plastic. Make a natural choice, guys, - always check the ingredients :)

Microbead ban: What impact will it have? With a UK-wide prohibition on plastic microbeads now in effect, we look at how it will affect cosmetics and the environment.

We are in Chiswick, London tomorrow at Fuller's Griffin Brewery Open Day (11am-4 pm).
