This is me ‘thinking i was protecting my skin’ with suncream (YES i am) but not the correct factor…

𝑆𝑤𝑖𝑝𝑒 👉 𝑖’𝑙𝑙 𝑡𝑒𝑙𝑙 𝑦𝑜𝑢 𝑤ℎ𝑦 ☀️

I used to think because i have mixed race skin, i never burnt, i and a Fitzpatrick scale of around III–IV, that i was fine to fry in the sun with SPF 20-30.

𝐻𝑜𝑤 𝑤𝑟𝑜𝑛𝑔 𝑤𝑎𝑠 𝑖 ❌

From the age of 28+ i developed Melasma, not just sun damage or hyperpigmentation.
A skin condition that will sit dormant on my face for LIFE…Horrified, i tried every cream, tablets, peels, serums you name it 😭

People would ask, what’s that on your head? Do you have a black eye?

I’d cake my skin in make up, just to feel like i had normal glowy skin like everyone else.
I’d cover the dark spots with concealer daily! 😫

And then, i was slowly getting on top of it after 3 long years.
I studied, read the internet until late at night, asked other practitioners, attended training courses, watched dermatologists youtube videos, the lot!

And I finally figured out the cause as to why this happens to our skin 🙌

In just 𝟒 𝒘𝒆𝒆𝒌𝒔 of consistency, the correct management, skincare, and understanding the root cause, the melanin production is decreasing and my skin is brighter and more hydrated ✨

And this is me now for the foreseeable. A hat, pigment suppressors and a very high SPF 50+ also containing ingredients to slow melanin production.

I sit in the sun for around 30 minutes, then i shade and hide 🫣😂
I know my careless sun bed days are over, and i’m fine with that. My skin is aging, i’m aging 🤣 and we have to accept the fact that once our skin barrier is damaged, it’s VERY hard to bounce back.

Just 1 session of Cryotherapy ❄️⚡️

Reduction in size & irritation for the client, with a pinch 🤏 of confidence back & possibly just 2 more sessions for this seborrheic keratosis to be gone 👋🏼

Benign lesions are excluded from the NHS therefore, if they are considered as ‘cosmetic’ they will not be removed.
