Most people are doing AT LEAST one of these 👀

1 - OVERPLUCKING: I get it, you want to maintain your clean brows, but it's SO easy to go overboard! Especially if you're looking at your brows super closely in the mirror. Plucking between appointments is okay provided that you're careful to not go too close to the shape we have created. You also want to make sure there's enough re-growth to work with at your next appointment. If those hairs aren't long enough, my thread simply won't catch them, leaving us with a result that isn't as clean as it should be. I usually recommend my clients to come and visit me again at the point they would feel tempted to pluck, which for most people is every 3-4 weeks.

2 - BROW STENCILS: believe it or not, brows are NOT a one size fits all. Whilst stencils may provide a good shape, the shape may not be the most flattering for your facial features. If you want to learn and understand how to create the ideal shape for your face, book in with me for a service which includes mapping. We will discuss the mapped sketch on your face (in much detail if you need).

3 - BRUSHES/PRODUCTS: The type of product and the way these are applied all play a huge role in your final look. A brow powder is usually suitable for most people, as the product can be easily built up to your desired pigment. No matter what look you're going for, if you're using a powder and a brush, always go for the finest angled brush you can find. This will allow you the most control. Avoid brow pens if you're heavy handed or are not too confident with filling in your brows.

4 - RAZORS: If you like to shave your face, please please please avoid going near your brows with the razor. This includes your monobrow area. I know it's a painless method of removing those hairs, but shaving your brows increases the risk of ingrown hairs, they will grow back much quicker and in some cases brow hairs may appear more coarse when they grow back. No pain = no gain. Trust me 😉

5 - SKIPPING AFTERCARE: If I see that your brow hairs are becoming dry or brittle, I will refuse re-laminating until the health of these hairs have been restored. 🤷🏽‍♀️
