The learning never stops.

The beginning of another chapter in my sauna journey.

Although The Hot Rocks Sauna is temporarily closed, we are choosing to use this time to invest in ourselves, so we can bring even more back to all of you. Learning never stands still, and neither do we.

I'm honoured to be attending the Pirts Camp, hosted by amazing Māra, in the beautiful surroundings of and to all the team from Saunowy Staw. Over the next few days I'll be learning, connecting with fellow sauna enthusiasts, and expanding my knowledge of traditional Pirts practices and techniques.

Every new skill, every conversation, and every experience is something I hope to bring home to The Hot Rocks Sauna. My goal has always been to create the best possible sauna experience, and that means continuing to learn, grow, and be inspired.

Thank you for supporting this journey. I can't wait to share what I learn and welcome you back into the warmth soon.

As the seasons shift, so do we.

At The Hot Rocks Sauna, we spend our days creating space for others to slow down, breathe deeply, and reconnect. But even dedicated wellness spaces need time to rest, reset, and recharge.

For the remainder of the summer, we’ll be taking a short pause to spend precious time with family, embrace a little stillness, and make space for some exciting personal growth.

This break is all part of honouring what we encourage every guest to do—listen to your body, take the time you need, and return feeling renewed.

We’re incredibly grateful for all of your support this season and can’t wait to welcome you back with fresh energy, new ideas, and plenty of heat.

Until then, enjoy the now, seek out moments of calm, and take care of yourselves.

With gratitude,
The Hot Rocks Sauna

"Isn't it too hot for a sauna in summer?"

It's a question we hear a lot, but the truth is that sauna sessions can be just as beneficial in the warmer months as they are in winter.

Whether you've spent the day chasing the kids around, working in the garden, or getting out for a walk, taking the time to slow down and unwind can make all the difference.

Better Heat Tolerance:
Regular heat exposure trains your body's thermoregulation system. This makes the transition into hot summer days feel more tolerable.

Enhances Natural Cooling:
By regularly forcing your body to sweat, you improve your body's natural cooling mechanisms. This helps you adapt to summer climates faster than relying on air conditioning.

Sweat Induced Detoxification:
Warm weather naturally encourages sweating, and adding a sauna session maximizes the flushing out of toxins from your pores.

Recovery:
During the summer we can often spend more time doing more outdoor sports. The improved blood flow and release of heat shock proteins from a sauna session can speed up muscle repair and reduce soreness.

Stress Relief:
Using the sauna can reduce your stress levels and promote deep relaxation.

Better Sleep:
Even after only a single session in the sauna the deep relaxation you feel, will help you to enjoy a better night's sleep.

And let's be honest, sometimes an hour of peace and quiet is a benefit in itself. Just don't forget to stay hydrated before and after your session.

Do you enjoy using a sauna in summer, or do you prefer it when the weather turns colder?
