Sometimes I find posts like this uncomfortable to write, but they’re necessary.

As many of you know, I’m a small independent salon, so every appointment in my diary is valuable. When an appointment is cancelled at the last minute or someone simply doesn’t turn up, it’s not just an empty chair—it’s time and income that I can’t get back.

I completely understand that life happens and genuine emergencies arise. I’ll always do my best to be understanding in those situations. But giving as much notice as possible allows me the chance to offer your appointment to someone on my waiting list.

My cancellation policy isn’t there to punish anyone—it’s there to protect my business and my livelihood, just as any other business would.

To all of my amazing clients who respect my time, turn up, and support my small business week after week… thank you. I genuinely couldn’t do what I love without you, and I appreciate every single one of you.
