The Scottish Government has just published its Non-Surgical Procedures Bill, setting out new regulations for beauty and aesthetic treatments across Scotland.

The Bill introduces a ban on dermal fillers and strong chemical peels for under-18s, and makes it a legal requirement for certain non-surgical procedures, including injectables and some advanced skin treatments, to be carried out only in licensed premises that meet strict hygiene and safety standards.

This marks a major milestone for Scotland’s beauty industry and could pave the way for similar regulation across the rest of the UK.
