Sad but determined post ahead...

In August 2021, Paddy Maloney, my best friend and husband was diagnosed with a Grade 4 Glioblastoma Brain Tumour. We had less than 10 months together after his diagnosis.

Paddy loved life (and cake!) (and our chickens!). He had a knack of making you believe anything was possible. He was funny, brave and hugely inspiring. He even had treatment on our wedding day!

The Challenge

Next weekend, I am taking part in a 50 mile race along the Wales Coast Path to raise awareness and funds for The Brain Tumour Charity in memory of Paddy. I have chosen an ultra because Paddy loved running really (really) long distances. I always said he was daft. He always said that one day I would be daft enough to run one too - I guess he was right!

You can follow our story and donate here: The Dragon 50 - Run For Paddy or head to the Just Giving Page following the website link at the top of the page.

Wales 2 v England 0
Fantastic win by Wales O65 at the international against England. So proud of John Jordan who worked incredibly hard with us to overcome calf issues right up to match day.

Our team had a wicket time supporting pitch side at the cup match between Croesyceiliog Cricket Club and Abergavenny Cricket Club in the cup match. Lots of soft tissue and mobility work to ensure Maidens with a lack of LBW’s and of course...some great British sunshine ☀️

Meet Linda. She is a new client to Milo Clinic and comes to us nine months after an athroscopic partial meniscectomy. Her rehab physiotherapy was limited and left her with an inability to straighten her knee fully. Linda has been an absolute star and with her engagement in clinic and with the prescribed home exercise plan she has achieved a fully extended knee in just three sessions!

Clinic life if full of interesting stories.
Kyle is a full time busy carpenter by day and aspiring fitness and rugby player in his spare time. The two lifestyles can compete in terms of ideal movements and the body is great at creating compensatory movements such as stiff shoulders and backs. Here we are creating better movement and mobility home exercises that will enable Kyle to reset the restrictions caused by everyday life.

It’s great to see athletes from all sports getting back into competition mode. Massive shout out to talented Milo client, Natasha Cockram, competing this weekend at Birmingham in a weekend of Olympic trials and European cup action over 10000m.
