Ooo more evidencd from EFT
I taught for 20 years in FE, not children but young adults, and some mature ones too 🙃
I initially left in 2014, and then, but by bit I slowly returned, with a variety of roles
💜 end point assessor (for mock assessment in hairdressing)
💜 to teach hairdressing and barbering to part time students during the covid years
💜 to teach reflexology
💜 to deliver masterclasses to level 2 & level 3 hair and beauty studenrs
💜 to teach level 2 beauty
Therefore another 5 years in Further Education at Darlington College, however at the end of this academic year, I quietly slipped away, no fuss no drama, i just chose to bow out.
Why?
Is it because i don't enjoy teaching?
Absolutely not! Its an honour and pleasure to see people of all ages grow, people who often start with little confidence flourish into assertive confident hairdressers and therspists, many who have gone onto open their own businesses.
So why are you not returning? I have been asked this so many time recently, it was easier to say i am retiring from teaching! Which is partly true, (i will be teaching some courses at Spangles)
But i have a new direction to follow 😁
More news to come very soon # # #

My beautiful friend Jane shares this with me, and my hat popped straight on, its amazing what we learn as tiny people, even before we are born and carry those beliefs forward.
But for this story, a young boy, who was curious and asked Why?
🦋🧠 A 10-year-old boy helped answer a question that had puzzled scientists for years.
Could a butterfly remember something it learned as a caterpillar?
🥹
In Japan, an elementary school student named Jo Nagai carried out an experiment that caught the attention of scientists around the world.
Working with entomologist Dr. Martha Weiss, Jo carefully raised swallowtail caterpillars and trained them to avoid the scent of lavender by pairing it with an unpleasant experience.
🌿
Then came the incredible part.
The caterpillars formed chrysalises and underwent one of nature's most extraordinary transformations.
They became butterflies.
🦋
For many years, people assumed that metamorphosis completely reset an insect's brain.
But when the butterflies finally emerged...
They still avoided the same lavender scent they had learned to dislike as caterpillars.
🤯
Jo documented his observations in a detailed 33-page study, helping provide evidence that some memories can survive the dramatic changes of complete metamorphosis.
His work supported the idea that an insect's nervous system is not entirely rebuilt from scratch during this remarkable transformation.
❤️
At just 10 years old, Jo showed something powerful.
You don't have to be an adult to contribute to science.
Sometimes...
Curiosity, patience, and careful observation are enough to help answer questions that have fascinated researchers for generations.
🦋✨
Great discoveries don't always begin in a laboratory.
Sometimes...
They begin with a child who simply keeps asking "Why?"

Who knew...
I'd say thats part of wellness
