A little detail can make the whole updo 🤍

Back in August, I created this relaxed, textured updo for a bridesmaid on one of those very hot summer wedding days ☀️

With the heat to contend with, getting the hair up was the perfect choice, keeping it off the neck while still creating plenty of shape, texture and movement.

I love the mix of soft, undone sections with the delicate hair accessory tucked through the style. It adds just enough detail without taking away from the hairstyle itself.

36°C, a wedding day, and makeup that needed to go the distance 🥵🤍

Back in August, I had the pleasure of getting this gorgeous bride ready on one of the hottest wedding days of the year - and when it’s 36 degrees outside, keeping bridal makeup fresh and comfortable takes a little extra thought.

For her look, we kept the skin radiant and beautifully natural, with softly defined eyes, fluttery lashes and a warm, flattering lip. The focus was on enhancing her features while making sure everything was prepped, layered and set to withstand the heat.

Because bridal makeup isn’t just about how it looks when you leave the chair - it needs to keep looking beautiful through the hugs, happy tears, photos, dancing ….. and sometimes extreme temperatures! ☀️

A little throwback to this July bride - and one of those styles where the details really make the look.

We kept the front clean and flattering, with the hair swept back into a relaxed half-up shape, then built loads of movement through the lengths with cascading waves.

I’m a big believer that bridal hair doesn’t have to be overly structured or traditional. It should still feel like you, just elevated for the occasion.

✨ A bridesmaid updo with all the detail

Looking for a bridesmaid hairstyle that feels special from every angle? 🤍

For this July wedding, I created this textured updo with sweeping sections, soft twists and delicate crystal pins woven throughout. I kept plenty of movement and dimension in the hair, with those little tendrils left loose to give the style a relaxed, modern feel.

I love how the lighter pieces catch the light and highlight all the different textures within the style - proof that an updo doesn’t have to feel overly structured to make an impact.

Perfect for bridesmaids who want something elegant but modern, and detailed without looking too formal.

✨ Let the freckles shine ✨

A beautiful bridesmaid makeup look from back in July, created with one thing in mind, her gorgeous freckles. 🤎

Rather than covering them completely, we kept the complexion fresh and natural, allowing her freckles to show through and remain a beautiful part of the look.

These photos were taken early in the morning, and I loved how the angle of the sun cast such beautiful natural shadows across her face, allowing those freckles to appear even more naturally in the photo. ☀️

Because sometimes the best makeup is the makeup that lets your natural features shine through. 🤍
