Can I be waxed on my period?

Yes, you can be waxed while you’re on your period. Yes of course I will still perform waxing services during menstruation.

A few things to keep in mind:

* Ideally wear a tampon or a cup if you’re having an advanced intimate wax, but if you can’t there’s no issue from me. Universal Precautions are followed for every waxing treatment so a perfectly natural and normal period is easily managed.

* Your skin may be more sensitive. Hormonal changes around your period can make waxing feel more painful than usual, especially in the days just before and during the first few days of bleeding.

* If you’re worried about discomfort, some people find it helpful to take an over-the-counter pain reliever (if they normally use one safely) about 30–60 minutes before their appointment.

If you’re getting waxing done somewhere other than the bikini area (legs, underarms, eyebrows, etc.), being on your period generally doesn’t affect the procedure at all beyond possible increased sensitivity.
