Yes, of course I can have a little meltdown today.

Just a tiny one.

As a treat. 😂

The holiday was lovely. The rest was needed. But now I’m expected to remember passwords, answer messages, warm the wax pots and behave like a fully functioning businesswoman again.

Absolutely outrageous.

Still, the Wax Shack is ready, the wax is warming and I’m genuinely looking forward to seeing my lovely guests again.

Holiday Claire may have left the building…

But Waxing Claire is back. Slightly confused, heavily caffeinated and ready to remove some hair. 💗

GEN X ACHES AND PAINS… ⚡️

Remember when we could sleep on the floor, get up the next morning and carry on as if nothing had happened?

Now I can injure myself by:

• Sleeping in a slightly unusual position
• Sneezing without bracing
• Turning my head too quickly
• Sitting down for too long
• Standing up after sitting down
• Carrying the shopping incorrectly
• Existing in a mild draught

My knees provide their own sound effects.
My back has more issues than I do.
And my sciatic nerve has apparently started its own heavy-metal band. 🤘🏻

We survived childhood without helmets, drank from the garden hose and stayed out without mobile phones…

Only to be taken down in midlife by a soft mattress and one enthusiastic cough.

Gen X: still rebellious… just with painkillers, reading glasses and a little noise every time we stand up.
