The First Minister for Wales, Mark Drakeford has today announced a two week ‘fire break’ from Friday 23rd October until Monday 9th November which includes the closure of all non-essential retail. This includes hair and beauty businesses, including mobile services. The Welsh Government has confirmed the following financial support with more details to follow:

• £1,000 for every business covered by small business rate relief
• Up to £5,000 for small and medium retail, leisure and hospitality, received automatically
• Additional discretionary grants for businesses struggling from restrictions

The UK government’s support package for employees and self-employed including the Job Support Scheme and the Self-Employed Income Support Scheme will also be available in Wales.

The NHBF is speaking to the Welsh Government to ensure this funding is made available as a matter of urgency.

These guidelines will effect the service as you know it and change the experience you are use to. Please note that the guidelines are in place to minimise risk of COVID-19.

Please take the time to read the changes below:

💇‍♂️ On entry, all clients must sanitise hands
