💛🧡Summer holidays as a self-employed mum 🧡💛

I’ll be honest, the mum guilt definitely creeps in over the summer holidays. While everyone else seems to be making memories every day, I’m still working.

But one thing I’m really grateful for is that I work from home. Finlay gets to stay with me, and so many of my lovely clients bring their own children along too. He’s made little salon pals over the years, and it’s lovely hearing them all playing together while I work.

I always try to make the most of the time in between appointments and my days off. Whether it’s a trip out, a movie afternoon, an ice cream run, or just spending quality time together, those moments mean everything. I also love seeing him spend time with his big brother - he absolutely adores him, and he’s just amazing with him. Watching their bond grow is honestly one of my favourite things.

I’m learning that the holidays don’t have to be packed with expensive days out every single day. Sometimes it’s about finding the balance between providing for your family and being present with them.

To all the working mums feeling a little guilty this summer… you’re doing your best, and that’s more than enough. ❤️
