Turning your jewellery to “help it heal” — please don’t. Here’s what actually works.

These are the five things I correct almost every week in appointments. None of it is complicated, but bad aftercare advice spreads faster than good advice, and healed piercings are the goal.

First we have Eminence. A delicate wedge with pink tourmaline and cz’s. I love this shape, it’s almost kite like. Eminence would fit in a conch beautifully, or a flat, some helix anatomy, rook, lobe, even a nostril! Summer in gold.

Second is Limitless. A marquise shaped opal with a CZ on each shoulder featuring a double chain drop. This piece gets so much attention! What a showstopper.

Last one is another Eminence with an amethyst.

☀️ Summer is here — and your piercings may need a little extra love.

Warm weather can cause healing piercings to swell more than usual, and jewellery that was sitting perfectly may start to feel snug. If that’s you, don’t leave it — come in and we can pop in some longer jewellery while things settle.

A few things to keep in mind this summer (week):

🌿 Keep healing piercings out of direct sun — a wide-brimmed hat is your best friend
🌿 Keep sunscreen away from the piercing itself; it can cause irritation
🌿 Rinse with sterile saline after sweating or sun exposure
🌿 Avoid pools, rivers, and open water where possible

And if things feel warm or angry, try this: saturate a piece of sterile gauze in saline and keep it in the fridge, or chill a pack of sterile saline wipes. A cool compress for a few minutes can work wonders.

Julia’s snake charm ear curation

Star of the show is Hecate- swipe for a close up.

We wanted snakes, movement and drip. All killer! I knew the second I saw Hecate it was destined for Julia’s ear.

Can you see where we put Myrtle? She’s hiding! I have since moved her to a more prominent spot as she deserves to be more in the spotlight. Ear curations are never truly finished!!
