When you’re starting out, it’s easy to say yes because you don’t want to lose a booking, turn away a student or upset anyone.

But if a treatment isn’t suitable, it’s a no. If a student isn’t ready, they need more time and support. And if someone expects you to bend your rules or be available 24/7, you’re allowed to put a boundary in place.

You can explain your decision kindly and still stand by it.

Please don’t compromise your standards just to keep someone happy. It’s your name, your work and your business 🤍

IMPORTANT UK AESTHETICS REGULATION UPDATE ⚠️

Parliament has renewed its call for urgent action on high-risk cosmetic procedures—but this is a parliamentary recommendation, not a change in law.

The Women and Equalities Committee has raised concerns that the Government’s promised consultation on high-risk procedures has still not been published and its response to the Committee’s previous report is overdue.

The Committee is calling for:

• Immediate restrictions on the highest-risk procedures, including liquid BBLs and liquid breast augmentation
• Specialist training and appropriate certification for invasive cosmetic surgery
• A clear Government timetable for wider regulation and licensing
• Stronger action against unsafe procedures being performed by unqualified individuals or in unsuitable premises

It is important to be clear about what has NOT been confirmed:

• No new law has come into force in England
• No mandatory Level 5 or Level 7 requirement has been announced for facial injectables
• Facial injectables have not been restricted to healthcare professionals
• Practitioner and premises licensing requirements have not been finalised
• No implementation date has been confirmed

This update increases pressure on the Government to act, but it does not currently change what appropriately trained and insured practitioners can legally provide in England.

At Urban Angel Aesthetics Academy, we will continue monitoring official Government and parliamentary sources and will only share confirmed, accurate developments—not rumours or industry speculation.

• When to contact emergency services, ophthalmology or another healthcare professional
• Preparing and maintaining your emergency complications kit

You’ll also complete practical dissolving treatment, with one dissolving model guaranteed for every attendee.
