I think preparing for a laser hair removal session is a form of self care

🪒 Shaving 24 hours before - You get to give shower self a little pamper sesh, use your favourite body wash and make yourself feel fresh and clean
P.s EXFOLIATE EXFOLIATE EXFOLIATE this will bring any ingrown hairs to the surface giving you the best results ✨

🪒 I know shaving is a pain but it’s wayyy much better than waxing, epilating or plucking which in my opinion to prepare for a laser appt is much more hassle free and less time consuming.

- Why we need to shave a minimum of 24 hours before is because need to skin to have as less hair possible so the laser can pe*****te to the hair follicle.

🧴 Avoid any make up or body lotion or deodorant on the skin pre treatment. Just your beautiful natural skin
Also changes in a new skin care routine please always let me know especially if you having treatment on your face.

👖 Avoid wearing tight clothing as there will be a build of heat consumed with in the skin and wearing tight clothing can cause your skin to feel more irritated and uncomfortable. Come in your most comfortable clothing and feel free.

🧤 NO FAKE TAN! Any fake tan needs to be removed before your treatment as in can reduce your chances of getting the desired results and can counteract with your treatment

💊 New medication. Please always let me know if you are on or starting new medication as some medications can prevent you from having treatments.

Types of hair found on the body

Hairs can grow all over the body except on the eyelids, on the lips, palms of hands and the soles of the feet.

Type 1️⃣: Lanugo hair - this is soft hair that begins to cover the foetus from the 3rd month of pregnancy.

Type 2️⃣: Vellus hair - this is soft downy hair and is found all over the body except the palms of hands, soles of feet, on the eyelids and on the lips.
