5 habits that have kept my skin happy over summer āļø
(As a type B stress head, mum of two & business owner whoās trying to renovate a house, study and level up all in a day š)
Iāve slowed down on the caffeine, which seemed daunting at first, but once I actually made the change, I found I was surprisingly okay with it. I realised that when I woke up feeling thirsty, instead of drinking water to rehydrate, I was chugging on a cup of coffee. Iād then top up with more caffeine mid-afternoon, which left me feeling increasingly wired, not to mention a terrible nights sleep.
The knock on effect was elevated blood sugars, poor food choices and the forgetting to drink enough water, and boy, I could tell in my skin. Puffy, dry and inflamed.
Consistent cleansing routine with a cleanser that respects my skins barrier. Overall my skin has the ability to hold onto its own hydration. Job done.
Iāve switched up vitamin A / Retinol (scary as Iām a creature of habit) Low and slow but consistently. No frazzling the barrier in the process. Iāve been very nervous about the āpurgeā but after 10 consistent weeks, nothing! (Did I tell you Iāve got a new brand in clinic? š)
I made a date in my diary. Iāve been very organised this year and have made sure Iām keeping up with SkinPen Microneedling UKI & International. Iāve made a note in the diary and have done this roughly every 8 - 10 weeks (this works for me, but might be different for you) the results really do pay off.
Iāve worn less makeup, in fact Iāve had days where Iāve worn nothing. I would rather invest in my skincare routine first (as much as I want to try the Victoria Beckham foundation š) but overall I need less makeup, which is great, especially on a busy morning.
Has your skin been winning over summer?

Over 50 GOOGLE REVIEWS!!!!
A huge thank you to the guys and gals who took the time to share your experience!! I read every one of them over and over, especially on the days when I need it most.
Some clinics would feel this simply isnāt enough. Only 50 reviews in 6 years, whatās the fuss about?!
Hereās why.
I deal with A LOT of skin conditions which require a lot of work and TIME, which means Iām not asking for a review after your first appointment or even fifth.
Skin prep, home care, creating healthy foundations with the Byonik and other treatments, numerous sessions of corrective treatments such as SkinPen to help with conditions like pigmentation, scar revision and more.
It takes time. Results are definitely not linear, thereās a lot of emotion tied into these journeys, and clients are desperately wanting a resolution.
With new clinics popping up everywhere, the choice is vast, and having a small business right now is incredibly volatile, which is so scary. My business supports my family, not a boujee lifestyle (if only!).
No quick fixes.
No instant gratification.
So, a huge thank you! These positive experiences are so greatly appreciated. I just want to keep on helping others for as long as I can.
Thank you always ššš
Story time
A couple of weeks ago, I attended an appointment already feeling quite nervous as I sat in the chair.
Within 10 swift minutes, I was told that if I didnāt follow through with a treatment plan, the future was going to be bleak and I needed to act now.
The medical professional pointed out everything that was wrong, and honestly, I felt like I was being sold to.
As I left that cold, clinical setting, I felt quite upset and, to be honest, utterly crap about myself.
So, I decided to get a second opinion.
Luckily, I came out of that appointment feeling much more positive, equipped with a clear plan and, most importantly, feeling listened to.
The treatment in question?
A dental examination!!!
But this experience really got me thinkingā¦
How many times do clients come to me feeling nervous, worried or anxious? Feeling almost embarrassed or scared to discuss what they do ā or donāt do ā when it comes to their skin?
Social media can be brilliant, but it can also create a sense of shame if youāre not doing THIS or THAT when it comes to skin health.
And thatās exactly why I create a calm environment.
Itās intentional. NOT FLUFFY š¤£
No shame or hard selling and definitely no making you feel inadequate.
I wonāt sugar-coat things, but I will listen. Iāll be kind, honest and always treat you with respect.
So, do me a favourā¦
Clients, past, present and future:
if youāve got any niggling questions about your skin but youāre worried about making that first move, please reach out.
My inbox is always open, and Iād genuinely love to hear your thoughts and questions ā whether thatās in the comments or privately in the DMs. At a later date (anonymously, of course), if youāre happy for me to, I will be sharing a Q&A, because your question might be exactly what someone else is too nervous to ask.
Iāve now found a new dentist. š
Real women. Real results. Real Talk.
We get so caught up in what we can see superficially on the skins surface, but a little like our health, changes are happening within, subtle changes.
Our connective tissues do an impeccable job at keeping everything held together, quite literally. But over time the hard working, robust scaffolding starts to weaken.
A natural way to tighten and reinforce the foundations is microneedling, and not just any, medical microneedling.
If you are noticing slight changes, letās talk in clinic and put together a targeted treatment plan like we did with Anna š

The other day I caught myself wondering how I could make my business a little leaner and save some money.
One thought crossed my mindā¦
āDo I really need an accountant anymore?ā
After six years in business, surely I know how to do my own tax return by now???
The truth. I probably could. But then I thought about what would actually happenā¦
ā”ļø I would spend hours trying to figure everything out
second-guess every decision
ā”ļøMake a few mistakes, and end up stressed
ā”ļøFeel overwhelmed (and get in trouble with HMRC)
By the time Iād fixed those mistakes, any money Iād āsavedā would likely be gone.
And thatās when it clickedā¦
Itās exactly the same with skin. Weāve never had more skincare advice at our fingertips. AI, TikTok, influencers, podcasts, YouTube⦠everyone seems to have an opinion, and itās easy to believe you can create the perfect routine yourself.
Can you? Of course. BUT you might also:āØ
⨠Spend hundreds on products your skin doesnāt actually need.āØāØ Damage your skin barrier by following conflicting advice.āØāØ Feel overwhelmed by the sheer amount of information.āØāØ End up spending even more trying to undo the damage.
How do I know?
Because itās exactly what Iām seeing in clinic RIGHT NOW!!!
Iāve never had so many skin consultations where the biggest issue isnāt someoneās skināitās the confusion. People have tried everything theyāve seen online, but theyāre still not getting the results they want.
The internet is brilliant for information, but information isnāt the same as personalised advice.
Sometimes you need someone to look at your skin, understand your goals, your lifestyle, your health and your history, and create a plan thatās designed specifically for you.
Thatās where a professional makes all the difference.
So, for now at least⦠I think the robots can leave my job alone. š
(If your my accountant, Iām not getting rid of you either š)
āDonāt talk to clients, theyāre not here to hear what you have to say, theyāre here to have a treatmentā
My introduction on the first day before a back to back day of working in spa. A sentence I wonāt ever forget!
Now, clients come to me, my business to gain advice and guidance under my watch. Therapist message me daily for support and advice on their next steps in education, training and their actual careers.
I wish I could tell my 20 year old self this.
(Did anyone notice my pups cameo in the background š a prize for the first person!)
