Longer lasting waves

Here’s my tips for longer lasting waves/curls
✨Leave curls to cool down for as long as possibly before dressing out (I recommend at least 10 minutes).
✨Use oil to brush out with my favourite is two way mirror smoothing oil.
✨Spray with plenty of flexible hairspray, my go to is R+Co Outer Space flexible hairspray.

Hair extensions tend to hold curls so much better than natural hair although this is a more extreme way of keeping curls/waves if you are styling your hair with curls/waves most days a pack of extensions whether it’s tapes or nanos may help keep your style for longer.

I’m often asked by clients if there’s anything else I can learn about lived in colour, the truth is there’s probably tonnes.

Placement is not one size fits all it’s customised to each client to achieve their desired results. Each gloss and tone is also tailored to each client to achieve the perfect colour for the particular client.

What helps with this is attending a minimum of 2 classes a year, knowing my colour line inside out and also understanding the hair history of the client.

Hi I’m Alice,

It’s been a while since I’ve shown my face on here so I thought it was about time I reintroduce myself.

I am 35 and currently on leave from the salon (I’ll keep you all updated on my return)

When I’m not in the salon you’ll usually find me with my family, whether that’s at home or getting out to different places, family times my favourite time.

I love going out for dog walks with some good company, followed by some yummy food on a day off.

I am a morning person and love to stay motivated and busy although if I have a lazy morning that’s probably how the rest of my days going to go too.

I have been hairdressing for about 19 years and self employed for around 12 years.

I probably love business just as much as hairdressing so getting to mix the 2 together is a dream.

I’m always learning and attending new classes so I can continuously improve, classes also help keep me motivated.

I have lots lined up for my business once I’m back and can’t wait to share it with you all.

Top 5 tips for extensions

✨ Use a soft bristle brush whenever brushing your hair, my favourites the Balmain one.

✨ Silk pillow cases will help prevent friction and keep extensions healthier for longer.

✨ Always fully dry after washing, avoid leaving extensions to dry naturally.

✨ Apply oil daily through mid-length and ends of hair extensions to help keep extensions moisturised.

✨ Sleep with hair in loose plait to limit tangles.

This client wanted to go a bit darker for the autumn and winter months while keeping some different tones running throughout.

Vanilla whip

This is one of my regular clients who usually has a freehand balayage and this time wanted to try going a bit brighter so we switched to a foilage technique to achieve this while still maintaining the seamless blend.

Brunette foilage to create a multi-tonal expensive brunette for this gorgeous client. The aim for this session was for the client to leave feeling a brunette while at still having some light ribbons throughout giving a sun-kisses look for to carry her through the summer months.
