🚨🚨🚨Lash Tip: Lets talk cleanliness. (LONG READ BUT SO WORHT IT!) Why is it so important for you to have lash wash on hand for your clients? It’s ensures they will make the investment in a lash wash. It’s extremely important that you invest in lash wash to retail once you begin taking clients. You should be going over aftercare with your clients and getting them familiar with their routine, if you have it available for them it’s more likely they will make the purchase. Why should they be washing their lashes everyday? Lash extension glue LOVES to be kept clean in order to maintain it's strong bond to your natural lash. Dirty lashes cause your lash glue to become weak resulting in extensions falling off your natural lash instead of lasting the entire life of the natural lash cycle and falling out when the natural lash is shed. Apply an oil-free lash foaming cleanser onto a clean facial eye cleanser brush and gently wash in a downward motion over the eyelid and lash line. Rinse with fresh water until all product is removed.
*TIP: Never rub back and forth as this will be too harsh on the lash extensions.
‼️NO BABY SHAMPOO! So, avoiding dehydrating detergents and soaps, such as baby shampoo, only makes sense. Using a proper lash cleanser can actually help extensions last two weeks longer.‼️

Many infections in and around the eye are caused by blockage of the lash follicle. This typically occurs when you fail to properly cleanse the area around your eyes – including your eyelashes, and allow dead skin cells, bacteria, and sebum to accumulate on and around the lashes. Not cleansing regularly or correctly also leads to potential infections, irritations, poor lash health/growth and lash mites (yes these are a real thing!). Dirty Lashes! Dead skin cells, dirt, makeup and oil will build up in your lash line very quickly!

Having bacteria on your skin is normal, but too much bacteria can cause problems. You can also get blepharitis if the oil glands in your eyelids get clogged or irritated.
