🌳 Hair Growth Cycle = Seasons of a Tree
Spring (Anagen phase) 🌱
This is when the hair is actively growing — like fresh blossom on a tree.
👉 The root is full, strong, and connected.
👉 This is the ONLY stage where laser hair removal works effectively.
Summer (Catagen phase) ☀️
Growth slows down and the hair starts to detach.
👉 The tree is still full, but changes are happening beneath the surface.
👉 Laser is far less effective here.
Autumn (Telogen phase) 🍂
The hair is resting and will soon fall out.
👉 Like leaves dropping from the tree.
👉 No connection = nothing for the laser to target.
Winter (Exogen) ❄️
The hair has fallen out completely.
👉 The follicle is empty, preparing for a new cycle.

✨ Laser Hair Removal Progress – Session 6 ✨
Before her 6th session
You can see just a few sparse hairs coming through – this is exactly what we want at this stage 🙌
Hair growth is now slower, finer, and much more patchy, showing how effective consistent treatments are.
Immediately after treatment
Those small red bumps you can see are follicular oedema – a great clinical endpoint ✔️
This reaction means the laser has successfully targeted the hair follicles and they’ve responded perfectly.
💡 Follicular oedema typically settles within 24–48 hours and is a sign the treatment is working exactly as it should.
Consistency is key 🔑
By session 6, we’re seeing significant reduction with only minimal regrowth left to treat. This also depends on the individual and how your hair responds, as more sessions are required on this client.
