Just a little post to say Iāll be away from clinic until the 16th June for some much needed R&R! āļø šš“
Appointments are still bookable via the link in my bio for when I return and messages may take a little longer to respond to than usual.
See you soon!

The sun has arrived and THIS right here, is my ultimate skincare hack - especially for those of us that havenāt got the time, patience or budget for endless routines š“ The great news is - it doesnāt feel like a typical oily SPF either, which makes it suitable for all skin types.
MediK8 is fast becoming one of my favourite brands on the market. Fantastic evidenced based formulations, great price points in comparison to higher end brands, and many of their products are available in travel sizes, meaning you can road test them and decide whether theyāre right for you before investing. Letās be honest, thereās nothing more irritating than spending £££ on a skincare product you absolutely hate.
Go and check them out - and make this šthe first thing you put in your basket.
āļøHappy bank holiday!āļø
The awful truth is, Iāll see many of you when you feel at your worst. I hear the negative self talk day in day out in my consultations, and nothing upsets me more than hearing a patient tell me they donāt feel beautiful.
I get a front row seat to your vulnerability, and working in an industry built upon beauty standards, it feels somewhat of a juxtapositional place to sit. Undergoing treatment is incredibly nuanced, there is no black or white, and every patient unique with their own story to tell. Itās my job to unravel the complexities that lie within each individual consultation, and sometimes, that might also mean that no treatment is the most morally robust thing to do.
We live in a world that makes us feel that whether we choose to have treatments or not - itās the wrong one. If you decide to have filler or botox - itās vanity. If you choose to āage gracefullyā - itās ugly. The bottom line is you have to do what feels right for you, irrespective of outside opinion. If you can improve something that genuinely causes you some internal discomfort and negatively influences your self confidence, itās nobody elseās place to tell you that you shouldnāt. Your body. Your choice - and yours alone.
Aesthetics shouldnāt be about changing who you are or grossly altering the way that you look. It should be about stepping into a version of yourself you feel just a little more content with. If this dilemma feels familiar to you, consultations are the best way to figure out whether treatment is right for you or not. My DMās are always open, and Iām always happy to give you genuine, honest advice.
š§”
1. No treatment is completely risk free. Your consultation should be thorough, thought out, and risks explained to you in detail. If someone tells you there are no risks, this is your first red flag. Equally, if someone guarantees you results, thatās your second š©
2. Not all practitioners sing from the same hymn sheet. There are bad practitioners of ALL disciplines out there who are more interested in the money you bring to their business than whether a treatments going to truly benefit you or not. A medical degree doesnāt come with a complimentary moral compass. Remember that.
3. Aftercare matters - not following aftercare advice has consequences, as does the aftercare support offered by your practitioner. Is your aftercare advice clear? Can you contact them if you encounter a problem? What resolution can they offer you if you do? Can they write you a prescription if you need one or refer you to someone else if they canāt? Make sure youāre asking these important questions before you book anything.

Iāve never been very good at accepting kindness or compliments⦠(probably need therapy, but that sh*ts expensive š¤£) nonetheless this deserves its own post.
Iāve had the pleasure of meeting and working with some truly beautiful people over the last few months, both at and in my own clinic. So when said beautiful people decided to go out of their way to buy thank-you gifts for helping them on their journeys back to themselves, it knocked me sideways a little bit. Not because Iām not great at my job - I am, but because recognition is unfamiliar territory.
Iāve come from a working environment that made me feel perpetually undervalued, and over time that does something horrible to your mindset and self worth.
Iād be lying if I said thats been easy to come back from.
So thankyou. Truly. Not just making my week, but for choosing me, for trusting me, and reminding me what feeling valued looks like š§”

We quite often associate facial ageing with skin thatās losing its elasticity in combination with gravity doing its wonderfully necessary yet oh so tragic job. Whilst this is partially true, a more significant component of ageing is VOLUME loss, largely due to a depletion in deep and superficial facial fat as we get older.
A study conducted in 2021 followed patients aged 30-65 over the course of a decade, using CT scans to determine just how much deep and superficial fat we lose. Staggeringly over that ten year span, patients lost an average of 11% of their superficial fat, and almost 20% of deep fat volume. Add that onto accelerated bone resorption, lax skin and well⦠it all sounds rather hopeless doesnāt it?
If we translate this into plain English - facial fat gives us plump, youthful volume, as does bone. A scaffold for the skin if you will. As the years go by, we lose it, just like our hair, our eyesight, our marbles, and our will to live ⦠š
Enter dermal filler. The holy grail of volume restoration and the ultimate defence weapon in any practitioners anti- ageing arsenal. You simply canāt fight volume loss with facials and a blind faith in that LāOrĆ©al serum that promises to rewind the clock a few years. šš
Investing in small strategic tweakments earlier just means replacing volume youāve ALREADY lost, not adding it to places it never belonged in the first place and making you look daft (contrary to popular belief).
This isnāt to say later in life you canāt start your dermal filler journey, it just means more significant losses equals more significant volume restoration. Which in turn means more complex treatment planning and bigger financial investments for you.
Basically, you canāt lose almost 30% of your facial volume and expect 1ml of dermal filler to answer your prayers.
In short, come and see me yesterday. š
If youāve been waiting for a sign to start investing in your skin health - this is it.
