Many people believe that applying collagen directly to the skin will replace lost collagen and reverse ageing. Unfortunately, it isn’t quite that simple.
The collagen found in most sheet masks sits mainly on the surface of the skin because the molecules are too large to pe*****te deeply.
Does that mean collagen masks are useless? Not at all.
They can help hydrate, soothe, and temporarily plump the skin, leaving it looking fresher and smoother for a short time. 💧
However, if your goal is to support your skin’s natural collagen production long term, ingredients such as peptides, vitamin C, retinoids, daily SPF, and professional treatments are often more effective options.
