This weekend’s Make and Meditate gathering was another beautiful occasion.
After enjoying some yummy homemade rosemary and parmesan scones, the lovely ladies made some stunning sun-catchers whilst chatting away and sharing stories.
Now we just need some sun in order to activate them! ☀️☀️
They then enjoyed a deeply restful meditation… it was a gloomy day, so luckily for them the meditation took them to a warm sunny June garden where they got to experience the type of June we wished we were having!!
After that they got to enjoy some strawberry and almond cake 😋
The next gatherings will take place in September.

I'm currently in beautiful north Devon. I was relaxing on the beach yesterday and I noticed how differently I was breathing. Slower and deeper… that full body exhale that tells you you've properly let go.
Holidays are wonderful, but what if we didn't have to wait for one to feel like that?
I've been thinking a lot lately about how to bring that feeling into everyday life. It doesn’t have to be perfect and not all at once, just one small thing at a time.
Here are a few that genuinely help me:
🌿 A 20-minute morning stretch before I look at my phone - it sets the tone for the day
🌿 Daily walks in nature - there's science to prove it calms the nervous system
🌿 Intentional breathing - a slow breath in, and an out-breath twice as long. Simple but powerful
🌿 Cooking nourishing food mindfully (with banging house tunes in the background
- joy is also medicine! 😄)
🌿 Getting lost in something creative
None of these are life-changing on their own. But together, they've helped me feel so much more grounded.
This is also exactly the spirit behind my Make and Meditate gatherings - and I'd love for you to join me in June 🌞
We'll be making beautiful sun-catchers to brighten up your home and garden.
🌿 Saturday 6th June — 11am–3.30pm (half day, includes homemade lunch) — £77 pp
🌿 Sunday 7th June — 1.30pm–4.30pm (shorter session) — £47 pp
Only 7 spaces per day and bookings close this Friday at 5pm.
After June the next gathering won't be until September - so if you've been thinking about coming, now is the perfect time to do it. 🤍
Comment SATURDAY or SUNDAY below and I'll send you the booking link.
(No experience is needed, and if you're coming on your own, this is a really welcoming space)
Have a great rest of your week ✨☀️✨☀️

Is it just me, but I find societal trends so interesting.
Some trends arrive with a blast and are over before we know it.
Others develop slowly over time and then it could be decades later, that society as a whole will start to shift and see things with a new perspective.
I feel that this has happened with the ‘fast paced, bucket list, we must complete these 1000 things before we die, let’s move at a million miles an hour, ‘the busier we are the more valuable we are’' movement.
This mentality has been in full flow since the 90s, but now I’m slowly noticing society starting to shift. Or maybe it’s just me getting older!!!
It seems that people are now realising that actually when we slow down and take stock, we have more time to appreciate the good things in our lives.
We have time to take some deep breaths, and actually taking deep breaths is actually one of the healthiest things we can do for our stress levels and nervous systems.
Is ‘slowing down’ the new ‘fast paced’?
Fast paced is no doubt fun, but it’s also exhausting and just leads up to wanting more, more, more without really filling up our cup.
Is it just me, or does this resonate with you too?
I’m finding that people are starting to choose activities which are still fun but also nourishing. Saunas are popping up more and more, breathwork is becoming really popular, sound baths too, and maybe taking some time to have a massage isn’t just a luxury anymore, people are realising how good they are for your health, and they may even help to prevent illness in the future.
This concept of slowing down fits so well with the Make and Meditate gatherings too.
For the June gatherings, we’ll be slowing right down and creating beautiful sun-catchers to brighten up your home and garden.
Two options this time:
🌿Saturday 6th June - Half-day (11am–3.30pm) with snacks, homemade buffet lunch, creative session, guided meditation, tea and cake - £77 pp
🌿Sunday 7th June - Shorter session (1.30pm–4.30pm) with snacks, creative session, guided meditation, tea and cake - £47 pp
There are only 7 spaces available for each day.
As always, no experience is needed and for anyone coming on their own, this is a very welcoming space.
Comment SATURDAY or SUNDAY below and I'll send you the booking link!
Have a beautiful week,
Laura x
P.S. I'm also opening up massage, Reiki and Talk Touch Heal appointments over the coming weeks - drop me a message if you'd like to know more

Over the past couple of months, one thing I've reflected on is how rare it is for many women to spend uninterrupted time, slowing down.
Not rushing
Not organising
Not looking after everyone else
Not needing to 'perform' socially
Just to have a few calm hours to discover their creativity, eat nourishing food, rest, and connect with other women in a relaxed and welcoming space.
That's become the heart of the Make and Meditate gatherings I've been hosting from my home.
One of the loveliest things has been watching women arrive feeling slightly unsure, often not knowing anyone else and then when they leave, looking lighter and more relaxed.
The next gatherings are taking place on 16th and 17th May and we'll be making botanical body oils and balms, with delicious smelling aromatherapy oils.
If this sounds like something you might enjoy, feel free to comment 'interested' below, or send me a message and I'll share the details.
Please note that bookings close tomorrow at 5pm.

✨ Well what an amazing two days we had on Saturday and Sunday at the April Make and Meditate gatherings. My heart fills so full 🙂
✨There is something so sacred and special about women being together, creating together, sharing food together, sharing stories together, learning from each other and also experiencing healing together.
✨This is how women have been connecting for millennia.
✨And this is what I wanted to create at the Make and Meditate gatherings… to bring women back together in person, away from the distractions of screens and daily tasks and to experience something more meaningful, and a place to feel deep nourishment - physically and mentally.
✨Two groups of women came together this weekend… and at the end left feeling spiritually full up (and physically too after a yummy two course lunch and cake!!).
✨I’m very clear to everyone that the creative part of the day is mainly to be a mindful, therapeutic process and there is absolutely no pressure at all to be an ‘artist’… but I’m always blown away by everyone’s creating and I’ve seen some really inspiring pieces. And really…. with art being so subjective, everyone is an artist 🙂
✨There were lots of compliments about the food, which I pour so much love into.
✨The ladies couldn’t believe how much there was!! One of the ladies, who came for the second time on Saturday told me how the food has ‘changed her life'. She has been inspired to make and eat much healthier food since last month’s Make and Meditate event… how fantastic 🙂
✨This meditation for this month was based on heart space awareness and the importance of self love and forgiveness.
✨I received lots of lovely feedback at the weekend and here is what one of the lovely ladies wrote.
✨It feels like a real honour to host these gatherings and I look forward to many more to come.

It's that time of the month (no, not that one!), where you get a little glimpse of what we'll be creating at this month's Make and Meditate gathering.
As it's the school holidays my daughter was enlisted to help me test it out!
We picked leaves and flowers from the garden and used them to create botanical prints and nature impressions on paper.
It was soooo calming and mindful and she absolutely loved it 💛 as did I.
You don't have to be an artist to enjoy this activity... I'm certainly not!! It’s just really enjoyable and therapeutic to slow down and create something.
My creation is pictured below!
Alongside the creative part of the day there will also be:
✨ a homemade seasonal lunch
✨ tea and cake
✨ friendly conversation
✨ a deeply restful guided meditation
The next gatherings are:
🌿 Saturday 18th April
🌿 Sunday 19th April
11am–3pm
Market Lavington
Bookings close this Friday at 5pm.
Please DM me or comment below if you're interested in coming along.
