I’m so excited to finally be able to announce that Escala is changing from my little salon in my garage to a fully fledged town centre salon!!!

The lovely ladies at are moving on to bigger and better things so we get to love their little building as much as they have.

It’s always been a dream to open my own salon and not only do I get to make it a reality but I get to share it with my work bestie of over 20 years .design.by.laura.hatala I wouldn’t want to go on this journey with anyone else!!

Hi everyone!

The last few months have been a bit crazy to say the least! Oliver is now 3 1/2 months old and I’ve been having lots of messages asking when I’m coming back to work?? The answer to that is a bit tricky! The house move is taking longer than planned (😡) so it’s looking like we won’t be moving until early January. So this has an impact on when I can start back to work as new house= no salon!!
I was hoping to have moved and be up and running ready for the new year but it wasn’t to be.

So my slightly revised plan is to move early January, get settled, work on getting a new salon space up and running and be back to it in February.

If I get the chance I will try to do some keep in touch days through January so keep you eyes open for posts with dates!

When the booking system goes live again I will let you know but until then have a very happy Christmas and I’ll see you in the New Year.

With positive cases high in the area, and me being in the higher risk category, I would kindly still ask all my clients to carry on with the salon rules until I finish on the 25th. That means masks will still be mandatory during your appointment and all social distancing measures are still to be followed. Thank you!! xKx

A simple colour melt and cut was all that was needed to transform this lockdown hair.

This is one of those days I wish I counted how many foils I packed in!!

Finally getting through the back log of cancelled appointments and huge lockdown roots now thank goodness!!!!

Half head of traditional highlights (which is a rarity these days!) toner and cut blowdry for Mandy this afternoon.

It’s been 8 months since I had the pleasure of having Helen in the chair. A simple colour melt and a good chop completely changed the look!
