🚨 Applying for NHS jobs but not getting shortlisted?
Over the last few months, I’ve spoken to nurses and healthcare professionals who have applied for 20, 30, even 50+ jobs without receiving a single interview invitation.
Most assume it’s because:
❌ They need sponsorship
❌ They don’t have UK experience
❌ There are too many applicants
In reality, that’s often not the reason.
I’ve reviewed applications from experienced nurses with active NMC registration who were unknowingly making simple mistakes that were preventing them from being shortlisted.
The NHS application process is very different from simply sending a CV. Recruiters are looking for specific evidence, and if it’s not presented correctly, even excellent candidates can be overlooked.
If you’re struggling to get interviews, feel free to send me a message with the word “HELP” and tell me:
✅ Your profession
✅ Your current country
✅ Whether you have NMC registration (if applicable)
✅ Whether you’re looking for sponsorship
I’ll point you in the right direction and let you know what I would check first.
Good luck to everyone currently applying 🤍🇬🇧

✨ Another interview secured ✨
One of my clients messaged me today to say they’ve received an interview invite from an application I submitted for them 🙌🏽
This is exactly why I always say — it’s not just about applying, it’s about how you apply.
So many people have the experience and qualifications, but they struggle because:
• Their supporting statement isn’t aligned with the person specification
• Their application isn’t structured properly
• Or they’re applying without a clear strategy
Once that’s fixed, results start to come.
I’m honestly so happy for her 🥹 this is just the beginning!
(Shared with permission and personal details removed)
If you’re struggling to get shortlisted or not hearing back from applications, I can help you:
✔ Improve your CV
✔ Write strong supporting statements
✔ Apply strategically for NHS roles
Feel free to message me if you need support 😊

🚨 5 Mistakes People Make When Applying for NHS Jobs 🚨
Many people apply for NHS jobs but never hear back. In many cases, it’s not because they aren’t qualified — it’s because of mistakes in the application.
Here are 5 common mistakes I see:
❌ 1. Generic supporting statements
Many applicants copy and paste the same statement for every job instead of tailoring it to the person specification.
❌ 2. Not addressing the person specification
NHS recruiters shortlist based on how well you meet the criteria. If you don’t clearly show this, you may be rejected.
❌ 3. Poorly structured CVs
Your CV must be written in a clear UK healthcare style to highlight your experience properly.
❌ 4. Not including NHS values
Trusts want to see how you align with NHS values and patient care standards.
❌ 5. Weak examples of experience
Simply listing duties is not enough. You need clear examples of your skills in practice.
✔️ This is where I help.
As a nurse working within the healthcare system, I support healthcare professionals with:
• NHS supporting statements
• CV review and improvement
• Job application support
• Applying for roles on your behalf
If you are struggling to get interviews, I can help strengthen your application.

Most NHS applications fail at the supporting statement stage.
Not because the applicant isn’t qualified.
But because they:
• Copy their CV
• Write generic statements
• Don’t align with Trust values
• Don’t evidence criteria clearly
The NHS recruitment system is structured and scored.
If you don’t understand what panels are looking for, you’re guessing.
And guessing leads to rejection emails.
Have you been getting rejections lately?

A lot of people message me saying they’re applying again and again but not hearing back.
In most cases, it’s not lack of experience — it’s how the application is written and how it matches the person specification.
I’ve created a step-by-step NHS Job Application Guide to help you understand exactly how applications are scored and how to structure your supporting information properly.
