It’s just not fair.

As many of you know, I’m currently working reduced days over the summer as my gorgeous 7-year-old is off school. Instead of my usual 5–6 days a week, I’m working just 2–3, so every appointment is incredibly valuable—not only for my time but also for my income.

Last week alone, across just three working days, I lost £460 due to clients not turning up for their scheduled appointments. Many of these were filler appointments where products had already been purchased, meaning I not only lost the income from the appointment but also the opportunity to offer that time to someone else who wanted it.

I work hard to fit as many of you in as possible during my limited working days, often extending my hours to accommodate everyone. Wednesday alone I worked 13hrs in that single day. When appointments are missed without notice, it has a huge impact on my small business and my family.

Bigger booking fees going forward will be imposed.
