A little update from John Whitfield Sports Massage.

After around five years of building the business, I wanted to let everyone know about an exciting change that will be happening over the next month.

With some changes happening at the Askern salon, it feels like the right time for a new chapter. Along with Claire, I’ll be moving my clinic-based appointments to a new treatment space at KAHA Studios, based at The Ranch on Grove Road in Womersley.

It’s a beautiful, peaceful setting and I’m really looking forward to having a fresh new space to work from.

I’ll be based there on selected days each week for appointments, and I’ll still be continuing with my mobile massage days as well, so both options will remain available.

I’m incredibly grateful to everyone who has supported the business over the last few years, whether you’ve booked a treatment, recommended me, continued to come back regularly or simply helped spread the word.

Your support has helped the business grow and I really do appreciate it.

I’m excited about the move, the new space and this next chapter, and I hope you’ll continue to support me as I make the transition.

Saturday morning client came with frozen shoulder. He only had 30% movement. We used cupping therapy to take away some pressure off the front side and rear deltoid. We cupped the scapular and rhomboids and upper trap and put one on the lats . I did a range of exercises to try get the strength back in the area afterwards started to take one cup of at a time. When finished client had 95% movement in the arm and 80% strength and very happy with aftercare if given him. 😬👍

I bring a massage couch bedding and towels you just have to provide a small space. My youngest client is 7 years of age and my oldest is 97 so I provide services for all ages and abilities.
