Over the years, it’s completely normal for our natural lip pigment to fade, particularly around the borders, which can make our lips appear less defined, uneven or even slightly smaller than what they actually are.

A little update from me 🤍

Over the past 12 months, Celestial PMU has grown in ways I could only have dreamed of.

I’ve had the privilege of welcoming clients from all across the UK, placing in national industry awards, and in September I will be travelling internationally to judge new talent in the industry and speak at an industry conference ✈️

I continuously invest heavily into my education year after year, so that I can provide my clients with the very best experience 💫

As many of you know, I’m incredibly passionate about natural permanent makeup.

With that in mind, from 1st July I will be moving forward with a fully specialist focus, exclusively offering Hyperrealism Brows, Natural Lip Blush and Undo/Redo transformations.

Alongside this change, treatment prices will be increasing. This allows me to continue investing in advanced education, products, equipment and the overall client experience, whilst ensuring every client continues to receive the high standard of care and natural results that Celestial PMU has become known for.

✨ Any appointments secured before 1st July will be honoured at current rates, even if your appointment takes place in July/Aug/Sept.

If you’re a melanated queen and you’ve ever been told that you’re ‘not the right candidate’ for realism brows, this post is for you! 🤎✨

There’s a common misconception in PMU that melanated skin can’t have hyperrealism / hairstroke brows… and that simply isn’t true.

What is true, however, is that melanated skin and textured brow hair require a more strategic approach, more experience and more patience.

Many melanin-rich clients naturally have brow hair that grows more textured, curly or coarse, particularly throughout the tail of the brow. And when we’re creating natural results we have to follow the natural growth pattern. Can you see where this then may get a little challenging?

For me, that’s where the artistry comes in 🎨

My approach is always to create soft, natural hairstrokes throughout the brow where possible, whilst keeping the healed result realistic, seamless and wearable long term.
And because every brow heals differently, all of my brow appointments include a complimentary touch-up appointment 💫

What does that mean?

It means that if we decide the transition throughout the tail would benefit from a little extra softness once healed, we can strategically blend the area using a soft shading technique to create a more defined and seamless result during your touch-up appointment.

In short — yes, textured and coarse brow hair does come with more limitations when creating realism brows. But at Celestial PMU, you’ll always be assessed as an individual, with honest advice and an approach tailored specifically to you 🤎

So if you’re a melanin-rich girlie who’s previously been told you’re ‘not the right candidate’ for hairstroke brows… don’t write the idea off completely just yet!

You may just need the right artist, the right approach, and someone patient enough to create a plan designed specifically for you ✍🏼

My stunning client had always experienced sparsity throughout her arch and tail, and was tired of filling her brows in every morning just to feel ‘put-together’.

She is a busy primary school teacher and also LOVES a holiday. She wanted something super natural to fit her style, and something effortless which would suit both her day-to-day lifestyle and future plans to travel, travel, travel! ✈️

She had a naturally thick brow at the bulb, and we both agreed that creating this same density throughout her arch and tail would look incredible on her.
