❗️❗️❗️ A LITTLE UPDATE FROM BRAIDED BEAUTY BY KATE ❗️❗️❗️

Hello my existing customers and future customers 💕

I just wanted to take a moment to explain a small change I’ll be making to my booking process.

Unfortunately😒, I’ve recently been let down by another customer who didn’t turn up for their appointment, gave no notice, and didn’t respond to my messages. As a small business, this means that valuable appointment time is lost — time that could have been offered to another customer.

Until now, I’ve never asked for deposits because I wanted to be as flexible and trusting as possible. Unfortunately, I feel that my kindness has sometimes been taken for granted. 💔

I completely understand that life happens and plans can change. This policy isn’t intended to be strict or make anyone feel uncomfortable — it’s simply there to protect my time, my work and my small business, while also being fair to customers who genuinely want an appointment. 💕

💕 FROM TODAY, A 30% DEPOSIT WILL BE REQUIRED TO SECURE YOUR APPOINTMENT.

The deposit will be deducted from the final price of your hairstyle.

✨ Changing your appointment:
I’m happy to move your appointment once, as long as I receive at least 24 hours’ notice. Your deposit can then be transferred to your new appointment.

✨ Cancellations:
Cancellations made with less than 24 hours’ notice will result in the deposit being lost.

✨ No-shows:
If you don’t attend your appointment and I haven’t been notified, the deposit will automatically be lost. A new deposit will be required for another booking.

✨ Late arrivals:
Please try your best to arrive on time. Arriving more than 15 minutes late may mean your appointment needs to be shortened, changed or cancelled depending on the hairstyle and time remaining. In this situation, the deposit may also be forfeited.

✨ Before your appointment:
Please arrive with your hair clean, dry and free from heavy products, unless we have agreed otherwise.

I really hope you can understand why I’ve had to introduce this change. 🥹💕 It’s not something I wanted to do, but I feel it’s necessary to protect the time I put into my business.

I’m incredibly grateful for every single person who books with me, supports my work, recommends me and trusts me with their hair. ❤️

✨ Practice Makes Progress! ✨

I wanted to share a little bit about my cornrows into twists journey. 🖤✨

One thing I really like about doing the same hairstyle twice or even three times is that every attempt teaches me something new.

The 1st attempt helped me see what I could improve — from the parting and positioning to the neatness and overall finish. Instead of seeing mistakes as something negative, I see them as part of learning and growing. 💪🏽

So, I tried the style again… and honestly, I believe my 2nd attempt looks much better! 🙌🏽😍

There are still things I can improve, but that's exactly why I keep practising. Practice makes perfect! ❤️

Every hairstyle is another opportunity to learn, improve and become better at what I love doing. ✨
